  1. I downloaded FSX 2 months ago, and since the first moment i opened it, i started noticing stutters and FPS drops every like 10 seconds, even at the lowest settings. My Laptop specs are: Win10-64 Bits Central Clock APU - AMD Radeon(TM) RX Vega 10 Graphics - Main/Integrated VRAM - 1024 MB - DDR4 1200 MHz Graphics - AMD Radeon(TM) RX Vega 10 Graphics Graphics Card Manufacturer - Powered by AMD Usable Memory Size - 1024 MB Core Clock - 1400 MHz Memory Type - DDR4 Memory Clock - 1200 MHz Memory Bit Rate - 2.40 Gbps Total memory bandwidth - 38 GByte/s 8GB RAM
  2. Hi Guys, (Note to Mods: This post is probably in the wrong place but a lot of guys with micro-stutter issues may not see it tucked away in other less visited forums, so maybe a couple of days grace before shifting it?) Some of you will know that I have been carping on about micro-stutters for some months now with no solution to hand. Others have also experienced them and have given up trying to find a solution. I may have discovered at least one solution to these micros-stutters and thought this might help others who have thrown their hands in the air regarding this issue. Everyone sees stutters differently and often describe them differently too which makes it quite difficult to determine whether the solution is valid in your particular situation or not. Additionally, everybody's systems are more or less unique and the combinations means something that fixes my problems for example, might not fix someone else's. So with those caveats, let's start by saying this is not a Microsoft, Asobo, MSFS or poorly optimised software addon problem. And, it's not about settings in MSFS. All of those types of stutters, are just like the shakes you get when you try to lift too many weights!! Improve your strength (better processing power) or dial down your workload (lower settings) and the problem resolves itself. But pure hardware issues may not respond to those sorts of measures and so we have to look closer at our components including BIOS, CPU loading, GPU and memory to name a few. Don't worry, I'm not going to explain that in detail here!! Firstly some definitions: Stutters: Pause's, stutters or "buffer", which are seen in games, streaming, video's etc is caused by the speed of your Internet connection and / or the processing power of your computer. Effectively, the graphics card can't display something it doesn't have and so it begins to skip frames to keep movement going or it simply pauses. Micro-stutters: As the name suggests they are very short duration (micro) drops in FPS which causes the image to very briefly stop or slow down. If you are panning around it is just a momentary glitch. If it occurs only very occasionally, it's not really noticeable. But, when happening randomly, every few seconds, these glitches become a real immersion killer. In my case, they were not just happening while flying or when panning around on the ground but even while waiting at the World Map to load a flight!! Of course if there is no movement, you cant see a micro-stutter (because the image is not changing and doesn't need to be updated anyway)...but it's still there in the Development Mode FPS counter. You can see them in this video as the long spikes and milli second drops in frames of up to 7 or 8 FPS in some cases. This video was taken while sitting at the World Map screen. So I did the things we all do in these circumstances and that is to isolate everything and reduce all the other possible influences on FPS. Disconnect internet, remove everything from community folder, lower or turn off all MSFS settings, especially live weather, AI and multiplayer (internet disconnected anyway), and then for good measure ensure the video card had the latest driver, BIOS was updated and system memory was tested. I then started MSFS and noticed Home screen micro-stutter spiking occurring in the FPS counter without even loading a flight!! I opened Task Manager to compare the 16 logical CPU performances with the spiking and while there were some similarities there did not appear to be any direct correlation. Things changed however when I looked at the drive performance in Task Manager. The C drive was spiking almost exactly at the same time as the FPS counter in MSFS. The spikes were not overly expensive on drive capacity maybe only by 25% and I thought this may be caused by a process going on in the background. So, I killed all background and startup processes, including Windows Defender but the drive still continued to spike. My C:Drive is a Crucial NVMe P2 1TB, as in this image below, so I looked up the Crucial site and downloaded an update for the drive. This helped reduce the micro-stutters but did not eliminate them. Still, that was a real positive and suggested I was looking in the right place! Then I found that the software which I was required to use to update the Crucial drive (Crucial Storage Executive), contained a product called 'Momentum Cache'. I won't go into the detail of what that is but when enabled it is designed to use a bit of system memory to help the NVMe with caching and buffering. This seems to overcome an otherwise less than stellar performance in the Crucial P2 NVMe's. The result of enabling 'Momentum Cache' is that my NVMe C:Drive is now handing data to the CPU much quicker, rather than spiking which suggested it was doing something other than sending data to the processor! Taken from the World Map screen again, here is the video of the outcome. No more micro-stutters and an improved main thread performance! The whole science behind SSD NVMe's is quite complex especially around things like 'Dramless QLC' (that's all you need to know about that). Yet, the NVMe (or any drive) is such a critical part of processing that if it is below standard (which some of these Crucial ones seem to be), then bottleneck micro-stutters start to show. The term 'under buffering' is probably more appropriate since it related to data and applications including audio and video so it might not be just our MSFS flight visuals that are affected by a hardware related micro-stutter. So if you have an NVMe, especially if it is a Crucial P2 (Crucial are usually the cheapest and a lot of computers and laptops come with it pre-installed to keep costs down) and you have micro-stutters, then this may just be the cause. I have no idea if other brand NVMe's or later model Crucial NVMe's might also cause these issues but it is a thing to research if you have other types installed on your computer and are suffering micro-stutters. So there you have it. Micro-stutters are a persistent issue for some of us and difficult to resolve. That could be because some of the origins of micro-stutter are so obscure. Anyway, I hope this helps to uncover at least one aspect of the problem. Cheers Terry
  3. After a day playing around with settings (a couple hours' worth of actual sim time) I've discovered something about the stuttering that's occurring for people, regardless of their specs. I want to make clear that this is just MY experience, and I'm not knowledgeable enough about the way the sim or the CPU and GPU work to suggest how applicable this might be, in general. But this is working for me right now. First, here's what I'm playing on: i9 9900, Geforce RTX 2080ti, 64 GB DDR. I play on a widescreen, 3440x1440 resolution. I'm finding that the sim runs very clean for me, almost regardless of settings. I have nearly everything cranked up to max, with the exception of a few sliders (water and reflections and shadows) set to high instead of ultra. But yes - I was getting stutters when I cranked it up this morning. Periodic ones, sometimes, and other times consistent ones. Just little hitches where the sim seemed to be "thinking" about something rather than running. So I started, one by one, altering the settings, and none of them seemed to make a difference. But then, really just on a hunch, I turned off texture supersampling, which is described in the sim as controlling fine detail like "road marks." I wasn't sure what that meant, but when I zeroed it out - voila, not a single stutter. The cost to visual quality, so far as I've been able to tell, is confined to runway markings - numbers and lines that don't appear as crisp as they did before. (I had this set to 8x8). I'm not seeing anything different, anyplace else. I tested this out just now on a short-ish flight from Sacramento Executive (SAC) to Tahoe Regional (TVL). I used the TBM. Short hop across the mountains, and down into the lake valley, one of my favorites for VFR. Not a single stutter in the entire flight. There were two hitches I noticed, when the sim was clearly loading some piece of terrain... but again, just twice. Otherwise, perfectly smooth flight, with the settings nearly at max. I don't know much about supersampling, other than what I've said here. Is this mayb a glitch with the setting, or is it a setting that, when jacked up, somehow interrupts the processing of the sim? I don't know. But I wanted to share here, in the hope that there's something in this post that helps decipher solutions. Would love to hear what others are finding. As an aside, I'm pretty blown away by the sim so far. Unbelievable detail, really nice, nuanced flight model and stunning weather effects. It is a GIANT leap forward in flightsimming, in my opinion. Yes, there are many many areas that need or could use improvement, and some glitches that clearly caught Microsoft by surprise, as they weren't things that seemed to report out of the beta. (For reference, my first flight simulator was Flight Simulator 4.0, in 1989, and I've recently been playing X-plane and P3D, both of which I consider outstanding sims. This one, though, on day one, is clearly the birth of another generation.)
  4. Hey guys & Chase Plane developer I really need your help, before latest version v0.1.170 released, I got smooth camera moving around using mouse & keyboard.... but after latest version was released I got stuttering and lagging when moving my camera using mouse. When I move my camera using keyboard, its okay & still smooth........but, when I try to move using mouse by holding scroll wheel, it stuttering & lagging ...really annoying. is it because of my CPU usage memory 3 excessive use? or my settings? need your help.
  5. I switched to P3D from FSX since almost one year, when I decided to buy a new desktop completely dedicated to flightsim. I was used to run P3D from an HDD (Seagate Barracuda 2TB 64MB Cache 7200rpm SATA3) and I was pretty satisfied with the performances of the sim: I could flight my PMDGs at 35-40 fps average in cloudy weather but…I was tormented by microstutters (really micro, fractions of sec) especially on the ground, in payware airports with GSX services enabled (i.e. when parking distance meter kicked-in), during ASN/AS16 wx updates, sometimes in final before touchdown. I use to live with them since FSX and at the very end, I simply quit the struggle of having the sim 100% fluid. Last week, out of curiosity I decided to make the move: I got myself a new SSD (Samsung 850 Evo 1TB), cloned my HDD on it, changed drive letter and…O-M-G! Not only loading times practically zeroed, but also my nasty microstutters were gone. I was even used to have 1-2 sec black textures on the vehicle demo window in P3D scenario setting…gone for good. There’s also visible speed-up in the way the sim loads UTX terrain textures underneath, during flight at jet’s cruise levels. Not placebo here I’m afraid: completed several long flights without a single stutter, and sim’s smooth like silk, can’t believe it, eventually I made it, at least til next new addon install . My recommendation is, if you’re “one of the few” like I was, to run P3D from an HDD, before getting crazy with AM tweaks and Process Lasso settings, do yourself a big favor: clone your P3D drive on an SSD and maybe like me, you won’t be disappointed. Maybe everything above is obvious for the most, but I believe’s worth sharing it. Happy flying!
  6. I have recently converted to P3D V2.4 in a big way - the installation corrupted by P3D V1.4 - and I am committed moving forward. 'Tis the future, after all! I am trying to tune this beastie, and have followed Rob A's threads and others with interest, but wanted to post something I have observed that perhaps others with greater insight/knowledge/understanding can decipher. First, my rig: 3770K @ 4.2 Ghz, 8 GB Corsair Vengeance, EVGA GTX 780 AC (factory overclock), P3D installed on an SSD. I am typically "immune" to stutters and the occasional screen tear, but blurries drive me nuts. In trying to find a happy medium, however, I have found that: 1 - When the scenery gets blurry and I hit PAUSE, it catches up. Sometimes it take a couple of seconds, sometime it takes 10. Whatever the reason, something is still running and playing catch-up, but it does catch up and the scenery becomes crisp. 2 - When everything is sharp as a tack and I un-pause, I get stutters, continuously, until the blurries again appear. Damned if you do, damned if you don't!!! I know there are dependencies/trade-offs, but I cannot seem to figure out what they are! I have tried and tweaked the TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT and FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION mods, have adjusted my sliders back to "truly average", all to no avail. I know that somewhere in there is a happy middle ground! I had P3D V1.4 pretty well sorted out, but do believe I (and for that matter, all of us) need to move forward to P3D V2 and beyond. So, I am committed. Perhaps to an asylum, but committed! Thanks for the help!
  7. I have got my low spec XP rig running pretty good after a year of constant experimenting w/ hardware, tweaks, and graphics settings. I am running Razer Gamebooster to hopefully kill non-essential backgrough programs. I can run a fairly consistent 18-24fps with my non-tubeliner aircraft. One thing still bothers me... I get occasional 1-2 second freezes. Is this what is referred to as "stutters" in the FSX world? Sometimes they seem to be related to an aircraft action such as adding flaps or changing the throttle setting but often they appear without any action on my part. Is this "stutter" most likely related to the Mobo or the graphics card or what? Thanks in advance for any advice on this problem. Every day is a learning experience for me. Obie
  8. Dear Team, Amazing effort on the NGX. Currently carrying out a short flight and wow... What can I say? Nothing... well almost nothing. It seems I experience slight pauses, they last for a second or so and have an interval of around 59 seconds to a 1 minute between. Other than that everything runs silky smooth. As far as I know my Direct X is all up to date as are my net frameworks and windows is up to date aswell, including drivers. I'm hoping its something my end that maybe I haven't done in regards to my system but I thought it worth a mention as I'm sure there will be an easy fix for this. My Set-up. Windows 64bit,I7 920 at 4ghz6gb of RAMFSX SP2500gb HD,ATI5870 1024gb Anti virus I use ESET Nod 32 . Cheers, Tim
  9. Hello, my name is Tom and I have such problems to run FSX smoothly. Does anyone have tweaks, to remove the stutters perfectly?I have such good frames, also with addon aircrafts ( like PMDG NGX ) and Addon sceneries ( Aerosoft Mallorca X ) par example. But when I am taxiing around the airports i receive stutters, especially on addon airports in Virtual Cockpit mode or in wingview mode. ( Not only in taxiing, also when I fly in VC it is laggy ).With bufferpools setting to 0 I receive always graphic interruptions, like white flashing artifacts, flashing black stripes etc. Need your perfect tweaks to solve this problem. Does anyone have tweak suggestions? Thanks for any help, I did bojote tweaks and I don't know what else I can do! I have been used the fps limiter to 30 and in fsx to unlimited, but without fps limiter and the limiter in FSX set to unlimited, I get better results and a more smooth FSX, but not perfect. What could I do to fix that issue? My pc specs are: CPU: I7 2600K Clock speed: 5 GHZRAM: 16 GB 1600 MHZ1 TB HDD Samsung 7200 RPMGPU: Colorful GTX 580 1536 MB Thanks for helping me :-) Best regards, Tom
  10. Friends - Managed to reduce stutters in straight flight after take off but have micro stutters while banking and on the ground especially when turning... - Managing 30 fps mostly except at add on airports where it can come down to 21 fps. But this does not matter provided I can get it to be smooth. i7 2600K oc'd to 4.4Ghz GeForce GTX 670 Request you to take a look at my cfg file. 11. Hello all, I've been flying on FSX for quite some time now and have been enjoying it massively. I have noticed however, that a quite annoying problem occurs when I'm transitioning from cruise to approach in the areas stated in the title. Once I get below ~25,000 feet (usually) the game begins rather violent and disruptive stuttering. These stutters happen once every 2-3 seconds typically and can stop the game for as short as 1 second, and as long as 30-45. During this time, the game goes non-responsive, and my FSINN windows or any other open windows white-out before it all returns to normal and runs another whole 2 seconds  . Naturally, this is quite irritating and makes the game pretty much unplayable when flying into these areas, which are very unfortunately highly trafficked by my VAs of choice... Anyone with tips would be greatly appreciated!!! (P.S, I do not own payware versions of any of these airports, and the stutters happen even on the lightest aircraft like the Trike) Thank you!
  12. I'm experiencing micropause in my wireless mouse movements only while running chaseplane. The mouse continously stops for half second. Very annoying issue Any advices?
  13. I think I finally solved the problem and now have good performance and no stutters. Here is what I did: 1 Start the FS in Full Screen mode. 2 After it starts change to Windowed mode. 3 Minimize the FS. 4 Go to the Task Manager. 5 Remove any running programs, except the FS, that may be usuing SimConnect. I had one other program running that I wasn’t aware of that was using SimConnect. 6 Close that program. 7 Restart FS in Full Screen mode. I was really surprised. The frame rate went back to what it was during the Alpha & Beta period and there were no more stutters. Good Luck and I hope this works.
  14. Hey guys hoping everyone is having a good day. I am on P3D V4 and when i land at airports with GSX level 2 jetways i get stutters which last 2 to 3 seconds when the GSX level 2 jetways load. Does anyone know how to make the jetways load earlier or to completely remove the stutters from the loading jetways before landing? I've tried disabling GSX and then enabling it again but when i click enable GSX after landing it takes a very long time to become available again. Thanks
  15. Hi, I bought and downloaded the NGX today and with my first two testflights it came up that on my systemi have a stutter of 10-11 seconds (the display freezes for 10-11 seconds) every one of two minutes. Anybody experiencing the same problem? I run the MD11 and jetstream flawlessly on this system......so that would rather not be the problem, FR on the NGX are very good actually. Regards,Ben
  16. Hello. I suddently have a problem with RCv4. I did a fresh reinstall of both FSX and RC and when using RC i have strange stutters. It's not common and well known microstutters within FSX but as soon as first RC wav is played - usually ATIS - the FSX start to stutter, which looks like the picture got still and from this "photograph" new FSX graphic raises, if you know what I meanHow to describe it better - imagine still picture and while it is supposed to change as what you see changes, it doesn't and stays on screen for a fragment of second, which happens every few seconds. I hope I describe it well. If not, I will make a video.Without RC playing wavs my FSX is pretty fluid running at 30 fps limited externally by Nvidia Inspector.Strange is that with previous installation of FSX and RC everything was running perfectly.I tried to use newest FSUIPC, my RC is on a different hard drive than FSX, I have external USB sound card. Autologging feature of FSUIPC is disabled, I did some research here in the forum, found few with the same problem but no solution.Any help please?Thank you.
  17. Hi When i use TFDi Pacx or Self-loading cargo with G-sync enabled, MSFS starts to stutter. When i minimize Pacx( for example) everything works fine and smooth. I was checking both fps counters of Monitor and MSFS and syncing was unstable. While Sim is between the range of 50-55fps, monitor counter is syncing between 50s and 90s. For some reason is trying to reach a higher refresh rate and i guess this is the main cause of those stutters. PC spec; 8700k @ 5.1 , Asus OC RTX3090 , ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q Gaming Monitor - 27" 2K WQHD (2560 x 1440) IPS, overclockable 165Hz, G-SYNC™ if anyone knows which is the cause of this issue, let me know! thanks Seth
  18. Hey. This is actually my first ever post here in this forum, because usually I've got all the help I've needed the last couple of years by googling my problems, and I always end up in this forum, so I've decided that it's time for me to step out of the dark, and ask a question my self. After swearing allegiance to Microsoft and their flight simulators since Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000, I've last year took a jump over to Prepar3D, after reading a lot of positive feedbacks and reviews of that simulator. But after spending hours, days, weeks and months on tweaking, and testing the settings to get the smoothest simulator possible regarding my computer specs, I've decided to turn of all autogen (vegetation and buildings), and also turn Scenery Density to the lowest, because I don't really need that eye-candy flying at 33 000 feet. I use ORBX Europe and Global Vector, so I can't really complain regarding my high-altitude flying, but to come to my question. By turning of Scenery density, I also lose all of the airports-buildings on the default airports, and that takes away the realisme while on ground taxiing before takeoff or approaching the airport for landing. So I wonder if there is a possibility to have the airport-buildings visible, without getting all the other buildings (city skyscrapers, etc)? The reason I wonder, is because of my FPS, the airport-buildings have no impact what so ever on my fps, but as soon as I takeoff, as an example, from KJFK, flying over New York, or other big cities for that matter, my FPS drops way low, and major stutters occur, but I don't experience any of that with the scenery density turned off. Even though I thought my computer would be good enough for FSX or P3D when I bought it a year ago. I also have one other problem, at the start of a flightplan, taxiing and takeoff, I usually don't get any stutters, with FPS steady at 30 FPS, but after between one and three hours of flight, when I come back after eating dinner or watching a movie or something, P3D stutters like crazy, with FPS fluctating between 1 and 20, and when I click on the setting-button, P3D just close down, and I end up back at my desktop. Anyone know what could be the problem? Addons I use, and system specs is listed down below. Tessellation is turned of, as I didn't see any terrain-improvements with it turned on, and I've put my monitor refresh rate to 30Mhz, via Nvidia Control Panel, and Vsync and triple buffering turned on in P3D-settings. PS: I really don't know if I publish this at the right place, but keep in mind, this is my first post here, and I hope I've described my problem as best as possible. Btw, it's sad that flight sims are so addictive, since I use to much time with the settings, rather then fly a stutterfree trip. Addons: ASN & Aivlasoft (on a remote computer). Aerosoft Airbus A321 ORBX Open LC, ORBX Europe and ORBX Global Vector. Radar Contact. FSPassengers. System Specs. Windows 10, x64-bit. Intel Core i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz (non-k, so overclocking is out of the picture, but with turbo-boost on 4.0GHz) Hyperthread turne Nvidia GeForce GTX 770, 2GB memory (Driver 364.51, haven't installed the latest driver yet, 364.72). 20GB Ram. Btw, my Affinitymask is set to 84. Best regards Erlend Falck
  19. Hi all, Firstly, let me say I am not a frame-rate chaser. I am happy with 30fps, and happier with smooth. For the last year I have been running FSX on Windows 8 with a GTX580 with no more tweaking and 30fps pretty much all over the shop. Then I went and bought a GTX Titan. I did this for two reasons: firstly, I am a big P3d fan and it likes VRAM; secondly, I wanted to see if it made a difference in FSX. Boy does it make a difference. Until last night. Anyway, when I bought it, and as it was about a year and a half since I reinstalled FSX, I did a total removal and reinstall. Everything. Airports, sceneries and finally FSX itself. Three days later (really - only installing in the evenings) I was back. I have only installed all of my ORBX and FSDT stuff and RealAir and Carenado planes so far, so a pretty vanilla install. When I first fired it up, it was amazing. It wasn't the FPS, it was the smoothness of everything. A revelation (*cough - it should be for the $) I decided to run in DX10 as I figured it would tax the GPU a little more and perhaps allow for higher FPS (I know I said I wasn't an FPS chaser...) I am using Steve's fixer. All works fine. However, I now seem to have a marked stuttering problem in both DX9 and DX10. My frames are dropping to 15 (I use 1/2 rr in NVI) and it is struggling. Taking all sliders to 0 makes no difference so it seems to be something else. It is the same in P3d. It is like a stutter a frame, thereby dropping the fr to 15. It seems better with stock planes, but I am flying into CYVR atm, around Puget in the Carenado B200 and it is awful. Worse than my old GTX580 LOL Any ideas? I am using the latest R331 NVIDIA drivers. I have seen some stuff somewhere saying VSync is broken in that release. Can anyone conform this? Should I turn off Vsync and live with tearing until my 120Hz monitor arrives? I'm a bit stumped as it hasn't coincided with any particular tweak bar installing DX10 and using that (with its own NVI profile obvs) Many thanks in advance jake
  20. Hello all! I'm having a strange problem in Prepar3D v 4.1: everytime I use right mouse click to turn a knob or flick a switch, the simulator stops and freezes for a few seconds. Then the screen flickers, the switch or knob changes position and the right mouse button menu opens. It started after upgrading to 4.1. I'm using 60 Hz refresh rate, unlimited frames and vertical sync. Video card is NVidia 1070 GTX.
  21. Hi. I have searched everywhere and tried multiple settings around the forum and i cannot get rid of stutters. I am running a 4k monitor with the ability to use 30hz but that wasn't smooth for me. I have tried combinations of 1/2 refresh rate and Vsync on and external FPS limiter(Rivatuner and Nvidia Inspector). When i tried these settings i was using a default P3D.cfg so no tweaks. I have the Prefer Maximum Performance so no need to suggest that common fix. I also have tried Fiber Frame fixes and affinity masks tweaks and those also do not help. Can anyone help me give up to date settings or settings that could help me? 22. Hello, Whenever I do a flight, no matter what addon aircraft or scenery, at random times it starts to lag every second such as it freezes for a second, run for a second and freezes again and it does it continuously. I have tried applying around with the display setting such as turning Vysnc off or tripple buffering off and variable refresh rate on but the problem still occurs randomly. I have updated all my drivers to the latest version and have a GTX 1070 with a 75 HZ monitor. Please help thank you.
  23. I have an i7/960 running @ 3.2, with 12 gig DDR3 RAM. I am running NVidia drivers 335.23. I recently installed an o/c GeForce 750Ti with 2 gig RAM, & have since been fine tuning FSX. I have followed the advice in Word Not Allowed's guide, and have taken on board some of Kabote's suggestions; I have set the affinity mask according to the recommended settings from the Gatwick FS Club's on-line tool. I now have a system that runs smoothly, with good FPS (locked at 30), and very little shimmering. However, I am getting stutters of anything from 1 to 5 seconds duration, and they appear to be random - they will happen even with the aircraft sitting on the ramp, engine off. The top part of my FSX config file is below, together with a screenshot of NVidia Inspector. If someone could point out to me where I have gone wrong, then it would be very much appreciated!!! 24. The sim was running very smooth except for frequent 2-3 frame stutters. This was annoying me so to track down the problem I turned down all the sliders and any display settings that would reduce FPS. I turned off every thing I could. I then flew in circles and let the sim settles into a constant bank and pitch and watch for the stutters. Every 5-10 seconds I would get the small stutters (or long frames). I have a R290X video card and a 4790K. I figured at the lowest settings I should be able to fly a 360 without the slightest stutter. I couldn’t get rid of the stutter so I uninstalled P3D then reinstalled and flew circles with the stock P3D install. I had the exact same stutters. Here is how I got rid of this problem. I have 2 X 4GB of Corsair ram (CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9) and it was running at 1866 using the XMP profile. When I upped the frequency to 2133 and ran P3D the stutters were gone. As a side note, when I say upped the frequency that’s all I did, I left the timing settings on auto and let the sabertooth z87 take care of the rest. I reinstalled all the usual add-ons and I can now run P3D at very high settings on a 4K monitor(the stuttering was the same on the 4K or a single 1920X1080 monitor) It seems the ram couldn’t supply the 4790K CPU fast enough. Now I can zoom all over the place using one 4K monitor and two 1920X1080 monitors (one on top of the other to match the 4K height and placed to the left of the 4K) with the over-clocked ram. This might be something for people with stutters to look at. There is a long history of discussions of ram frequency and latency, I didn’t think it applied to todays computers but I guess it still matters.
  25. Just wondering if anyone else has seen a long (2-3 second pause) at FSDT KORD and if there is a solution? It ONLY happens at night in my PMDG 777-300ER. I went to FlightBeam's KIAD and the issue was not there. Just at KORD. My Gate was B22. I have not tried it at any other gate at KORD but believe it will occur there too as it happens as I taxi to the takeoff runway too. Very annoying. Looks like it coincides with night lighting that flashes. Thanks for any assistance. Best regards,
