Hi everyone! Do you use the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator? Then please keep on reading! Contribute to scientific research by filling out a short 10 min. survey and sharing your experiences in this forum. MSFS 2020 can easily be considered a new form of virtual tourism: travel without ‘real’ travel. But could this substitute a vacation-feeling to some degree? And why/how? My master’s thesis on Virtual Tourism and Travel will try to answer these questions. From a personal perspective, this topic really fascinates me: I am both an avid traveller (at least, in ‘normal’ times!) and a MSFS-user myself. My girlfriend and I are both loving this sim since we started using it to fly around both familiar and unfamiliar places around the world… which got me to the point at which I am now with my thesis. Simple question; why not? I am not a parent, so I don't have an opportunity to use my flight simulation hobby as that of a family activity. But this question and the responses are interesting. So, why is flight simulation predominantly NOT a family hobby? Your opinions?

Hi everyone, Have you ever made requests towards developers about your favourite aircraft? If yes, you might know that they're also just people like you, and they want their fav airplane to be in the simulator first. However, I'm now asking you, guys! I'm interested about the "most wanted" aircrafts around in the FS market. I made a bunch of surveys, you just have to answer them. The first survey is out, which in you can choose the aircraft types that you are interested about. Gentlemen, Recently, to be specific today, my niece approached me with a request to distribute a survey among flight simulator community members. I know I am new, but have been a AVSIM library user for years. I sincerely hope you don't mind! My niece is a student "free time management" at the "InHolland Academy" (School for higher education in the Netherlands) and is working on a project in which online communities play a major role. It's a small survey and requests little of your time. Not to mention that it is of course anonymously. My niece would be very grateful if you'd participate in this survey.
