Hello guys: I was wondering how to set sq to C mode on IVAP using the aircraft TCAS (without touching IVAP) is that possible? I tried to switch the aircraft TCAS to TA/RA but IVAPs sq still on STBY, any ideas? thanks.

I have two problems on my 777, that prevent me to fly (especially the 2d) - The TCAS test is allways displayed on the Flight director - The Gear won't retract

So I am playing with the 700 series add-on for PMDG and I have a couple of questions that are probably answered somewhere in the 3000 pages of manual but I want to make sure it is not a bug and see if anyone else has the answer right off the bat rather than searching for hours in a book thicker than the Bible. SEE IMAGE BELOW. CLICK ON TO FULL SCREEN IT. 1. When I turn on the lighting for the cockpit and turn it just past halfway the back panels on the MCP LEDs turn blue. Is this normal ops? It never did this in the 800 series. 2. The TCAS Indicators never went away on the MFDs. The indicators were on during power up, pre-flight check and on into the flight. I use FS2Crew to do the start up sequence and he didn't seem to indicate a problem with the TCAS system but the markings persisted throughout the entire flight making it hard to see my VSI and altitude. 3. When I turned the lighting nobs to turn on the background flood lighting on the MCP and the MFD panels they had no effect on the lighting until AFTER we landed and started the shutdown sequence. Then the lighting turned on. Normal operation in the 800 was for the lights to activate the moment you turned the dial and light up the consoles. 4. I use FS Passengers X and had to go through the whole FS2Crew work around to get the FSPassenger mini window to show.. however... it has ANOTHER panel icon that sits on top of it now and will flicker off and on but mostly it stays on, covering up the damn mini window... -_- Anyone experience these problems (if they are problems on the 700 series PMDG 737) and know a work around? Thanks.

Hello fellow aviators, Needles to say, the TCAS is a brilliant piece of equipment that is a non-disposables tool in congested airspace. I've tried working it out for over 2 months on the T7 with no luck... I've went over the documentation and forums a million times and findled with every TCAS related switch with no luck. The issue is that the TCAS rings are present and it seems at a first glance to work, but no aircraft is displayed at any range, and the PFD has opposite red cue that, if I understood correctly, relates to the resolutionary advisory; AKA RA. I've been using the TCAS on the Airbus X Extended; l and it works like a charm and I can't live without it based on the incompetence if FSX's ATC. Any help would be much appreciated.

Im turn on the battery and the red clues are they displayed, im follow all the check list and........there is. In the manual PMDG-777-FCOMv2, page 1211, show me something similar (VSI TCAS RA Band). how i could fix or hide, or ...any way. Whats that.................. Tks in advance for youre help.

Hi ppl. I've reinstalled my simulator about a month ago, everything went fine (incredibly), so my paranoia started telling me "something must be wrong here". Just to clear my doubts, is it normal that the TCAS doesn't display any traffic information on this situation?. (see pics) The aircraft was between ICARO and MMTP on a 60NM range (Squawkbox was already showing it on the multiplayer session, so the aircraft was displayed correctly). We were both at FL330. I had made like 20 flights on Wilco's A320, the TCAS range tolerance is much greater on that aircraft, I got used to always see aircraft's on TCAS.

Before taking off with the CJ2 I set the Transponder mode to "ALT" and then click on the "TFC" button on the PFD and/or MFD to display traffic. When airborne, I now see other aircraft displayed as blue dots with labels. The dots also turn red when they get close (even when they are more than 100 flight levels below or above me!?), but I never get a "TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC" sound or any Resolution Advisory from TCAS (like "CLIMB, CLIMB NOW"), even though I came close to a collision more than once. Am I doing something wrong or is the TCAS not working in the Carenado CJ2?

Dear friends, I bought a GTN 750 and a GTN 650. It works more or less good (checklists don't work, but that is not my question) but I have a problem with the traffic alert. When this shows up it blocks all of the GPS, but in difficult situations (like LOWI) it is essential for me. So is it possible to switch the traffic-alert off just on the GTN 750?

Hi, the following happened to me when climbing out of Sheremetyevo 06L using the 777 freighter: At approximately 2000ft, I got a traffic warning (in yellow). I looked out of the window and couldn't see anything. A few seconds later, I got the red traffic alert, the system telling me to descent, which I did, of course. Then "increase descent". At the end I descended with up to 5500ft/min and picked up a lot of speed, 335kts. Of couse, since the alarm silenced, I wanted to climb again, and that worked... 5500ft/min climb, the speed slowly coming down to 250kts again. However, I didn't want to climb that fast, instead I would have preferred to do a more gentle climb, reducing power perhaps. But this was impossible. I pressed the yoke hard down, all the way, but the plane did not react, only to lateral input. I also wanted to reduce power, since we were so awefully fast, and I feared for the structural integrity of the plane (I think I even used speedbrakes in one moment), but this was impossible, too, and it wasn't possible to disconnect the Autothrottle. So I guess that I met the Flight Envelop Protection. Is it correct that the plane behaves that way? I would have expected such behaviour in an Airbus, not in a Boeing. Would it have been possible to take *more* control of the aircraft by deactivating Flight Director and switching A/T totally off? A/P wasn't on after all. I'd appreciate any input on this situation... tbh, it was a bit scary!

Resently i took advantage of a 50% discount to buy the A330-A340 package. from CLS. Good deal for the price, but i have some trouble with it. For one i have found the solution myself and i posted it here in just in case someone else is looking for it. The TCAS is working on the A330 but not on the A340.That one turned out to be simply a missing gauge in the panel.cfg for the TCAS logic. Solution. Go to simobjects --> airplanes --> CLS_A340_300 --> panel and make a copy of panel.cfg (just to be save) open panel.cfg in notepad and scroll to the last entry in [Window00] section, in the original file this is, gauge39=CLS_A343_FSX!ICON_SC, 22,1047,24,24 on the next line add gauge40=CLS_FSX_TCAS!dsd_fsx_xml_tcas, 4,41,20,20 or if you fly from the VC scroll to the last line in the [Vcockpit01] section. In the original file this is gauge46=CLS_A343_FSX!Gear Light Nose, 458,412,35,35 on the next line add gauge47=CLS_FSX_TCAS!dsd_fsx_xml_tcas, 4,41,20,20 save and now the TCAS should be working. Be aware that this TCAS is only a simpel version of a real TCAS, there is no Audible warning and no TCAS resolution advisories. Only tested with FSX, but i think it should work on FS9 if it has the same problem. And maybe i am to hastly, but from the managed modes only the heading seems to work propperly. When i engage speed in MM, it just seems to go the MAX speed (around 300 knots) and with altitude it just reset to 0 feet. Is there someone who got it to work like it should ?

Hi guys, hope some buddy can help. Iv'e installed the B777 200 new in FSX SP1C, aktivate it and start the Simulator again. Now I want to fly but couldn't turn on the TCAS. Always I turn it on to TA/RA the knob will go back to off position immidiately. Any one the same? Regards Axel

Hello fellow aviators, Needless to say, the TCAS is an exquisite piece of equipment and an indisposable one in congested airspace and due to the incompetence of our freindly neighborhood FSX ATC xD. For 2 months now I've tried working the T7 TCAS, with no luck. I've tried every documentation that exists, videos, forums, etc... with no luck. I've tried fiddling with every TCAS-related switch, knob, and screen; not working yet. What i'm facing is I have the TCAS rings on the ND and the transponder knob on TA/RA, or TA Only (based on where I am) but can't see any aircraft at any range. Take into consideration that the PFD shows 2 mirror images of red cues that based on my reading of the documeneation is RA (resolutionary advisory) related, but I have no idea why is it showing such without any aircraft on display. P.S: the documentation doesn't mention how to treat the red cue as I've went through all of them.

Hello Guys, I've tried working the PMDG's TCAS for about 2 months now and I can't get to have t working. I've used Aerosoft Airbus X Extended's TCAS and it's a brilliant piece of equipment. On the other hand, on the PMDG. I've the transponder at the TA/RA, TA Only, etc... and none of them work. I get the TCAS ring on the ND but no aircrafts to display and the PFD seems to have 2 red cues (I think they relate to resolutionary advisories). I've read the documentation and nothing helped. Went over everywhere on the internet, and no luck again. Any ideas lads?

Hello simPlugins Team, I enjoyed your product a lot. Some time ago I bought the QualityWings BAe-146 and brings the vertical speed indicator integrated with TCAS. Could you add this indicator to the instrument library? Regards, Carlos
