There has been an extensive overhaul of the VC textures, as per the feedback we received. Hi all, I've just pushed the latest version of PTA (v2.51). To update, visit the "My Account" section on the SimTweaks website, view your PTA order and download it from there. To install, just overwrite the .exe that's supplied with the updated zip file directly over your current PTA install. I've also included my own preset for those of you who are looking for something to get you started (I think it's pretty sweet, but then apparently I have a huge ego, so take what you will from that :D). v2.51 Changes - Improved activation logic - The "Clouds shadows tweak" is back. Due to changes in the Prepar3D v4 shaders code, this tweak has had to be rewritten with NEW parameters and ranges. Check the help pane for the new possible values. - New post-processing shader "Technicolor2" added adapted from Reshade 3 to P3D the rendering engine. - New post-processing shader "DPX3 adapted" added from Reshade 3. it should make the image look like it's been converted to DXP Cineon - basically it's another movie-like look, similar to technicolor. Hello, I have a question about how may I update the VOR, NDB, Waypoints, etc. for my simulator, P3D v3.4 I have the AIRAC Cycle 1704 and inside I have a lot of files and folders, and I really don't know how to install this. I saw a videotutorial explaining the process for X-Plane 10 and 11, and for those simulators is very easy. You have a RAR file which says xplane10_native_1704.zip and xplane11_native_1704.zip For X-Plane is so easy as uncompress those files in certain folder of the simulator (Xplane 11 or Xplane 10), you use Xplane10_native for X-Plane 10 and xplane11_native for X-Plane 11, and that is all, very easy. However, for Prepar3D I have no idea about how to do this. I see there are a lot of folders inside, and I suspect those folders are for certain aircraft you can purchase... for example I see the zip file jardesign_a320neo_native_1704.zip, and it is clear that file is to provide the AIRAC data cycle 1704 to that particular plane. However, what I want right now is to update the simualtor, that is, the VOR, NDB, waypoints, etc. get updated. I want the default aircrafts be updated, and the default database for all aircrafts, inside P3D v3.4 be updated. How may I do this? I really don't know what file should I run to update the simulator. Your help would be much appreciated!

Excited to see there is an update from XP11 beta already. Unfortunately, installer wants me to click through each of the 1000's of modified files. Seems the "Do this for all files in this directory" button doesn't work, leaving you to have to click "Overwrite" of "Keep" for each file. Anyone else have this problem? Any work around?

Receantly I saw that X-Plane 10 has version 10.40 going through beta stages. My question is can I update my X-Plane 10 Steam version 10.30 something to the newest beta version and if so, how to do that? Thanks in advance Marko Lisica

G'day All Just a quick question regarding the recent update. My 737 has 19hrs left before it's 250hr maintenance is due. If i update using the new full intstall am I going to lose my hours flown? as I have it set to realistic failures and don't want it to be set back to 250hrs Regards Daren Flew Australia

Orbx Central shows v1.1.69 installed in C:\Program Files\Parallel 42\ChasePlane . Uninstalling and reinstalling in Orbx Central fails to update (should be 1.1.78 S?) I've rerun transferring license to Orbx; message is "already installed" What can I do to get ChasePlane to load with P3D v5? BTW, there's no mention of this issue on any forum I've found so far.

Good Afternoon, Im having a number of issues since update. I cannot seem to give commands such as "Start APU" or "Set Engine Anti On/Off" It is not recognizing it in the green box, instead picking up all sorts of different words. I am English - UK Speaker. Remained on English US initially and it was present then, now also switched to English - UK and same. I have not changed the pace or diction of the requests, they are the same I have been using for the past 4 years or so with FS2CREW. Anyone else experiencing this at all? Regards Chris

I would like to update everyone regarding the system issues that appeared to crop up over this last weekend and the steps we have taken to remedy those issues to the extent that we have been able. First, let me put this rubric to bed; the system issues WERE NOT caused by the addition or modification to the forums software. Some people like to harp about us adding functions and having things "break" when we do. That is not the case and in fact, we have not added new functionality in quite some time. If anything, we are guilty of removing TOO many functions. We noticed issues started to crop up on the morning of June 27th; that's last Thursday, and it started just before 10:00 a.m. We noticed a barrage of hits from the Verizon system and they numbered thousands over a very short period. We have reported that activity to Verizon and have requested they let us know the result. We'll see if any of that happens. The next thing we noticed was that there was a hundred plus attempts to crack into our Admin Control System. The crack attempts came from an IP that showed the attempts were originating in the Netherlands. We took a step that we had postponing doing simply because of the effort necessary to accomplish it; we "hid" the control system. We have software that can sit in front of the forum software and repel DDOS attacks when we recognize them. We brought that online over the weekend as we continued to get hit. The downside to this action is that it has an impact on all users logging in from anywhere in the world. The major consequence is system slow down for everyone, but certainly faster than what was existing during the DDOS itself. We started looking at modules as well to determine the impact they have been having and the possibility that something broke. We did a complete removal of all but the most fundamentally important modules, and what you see today in the forums is the result. We may bring some of those back online once the system stabilizes. One of the other things we did is shut off access to all of the forum structure by GUESTS; that is, people who have not registered. We did that to lighten the load on the system as well and to give us an opportunity to measure the positive or negative aspects of that move. As of an hour ago, we have flipped the switch and have let guests back into the forums. However, over the next couple of days, we are going to be removing access by guests to certain forums to maintain a fair balance and sustained performance for our registered members. So, as I write this, where are we? We have re-installed TapaTalk for all of the 30 or so users that access our forums daily using it. If it proves to be problematic again, we will permanently remove it and never re-install it. We have removed various modules as indicated above and we will selectively bring back online some of those depending upon performance impact by them. We have a system now in place that looks for and prevents proxy server access, access from unidentified locations and so on. Performance today is very good. We are not seeing the slow downs that we have seen over the last couple of days, and we are keeping an eye on accesses and locations. Okay, so that is where we stand at the moment.

Since this was the first time that I updated my version of Prepar3d, from v4.1 to 4.2., I would like some clarification if I did things correctly: I followed the instructions from LM on the downloads page. First off, I uninstalled the Client and reinstalled it and continued with the same process for the scenery and content. However, do I also need to uninstalled and reinstall my entire P3d application as the last step? Or am I good to go? Kind regards,

Hello. Your Forum is very big and I can't find the Updatelink for my FS2 Crew 2010 Voice Control from 8.July 2011. I fly the iFly NGX with FSX. I had bought this from the aerosoft homepage last month. I had a lot of troubble with install the voice control. So I had to reinstall my iFly 737. Hi folks, I have one question, why are the animations in the cockpit and on the wingview especially so choppy? For example the deployment of the speedbrakes is choppy either. Is there any way to solve this kind of issue? The trimwheels in the cockpit seems to be very choppy and not smooth enough as on the real Boeing 737 NG aircraft!!!! I purchased the boxed version of PMDG777 from PCAviators.com some time ago. I installed and have used it in FSX for some time now with no problems, but recently purchased Prepar3d v4 and wanted to try the aircraft in that program. I went to support.aerosoft.com to download the latest update but it wont acdept my key from the box. I have tried several times and even contacted aerosoft support and I get this reply: Tom Weigandt (Aerosoft - Support Service) Jul 31, 20:27 CEST Dear Sir, We have seen some customers whose serials were not accepted by our servers when updating to the latest versions. This issue is tracked down to the fact our database did not contain all key series (mainly for the boxed release). Our mistake, sorry. This is now corrected and all serials should be accepted. Please try again, when things still fail send us the serial that is not accepted via email at support@aerosoft.com Kind regards This issue is still unresolved because I still can not access the update. I have been having issues with all textures on the 737-600/700 ever since I upgraded to the new update. If I uninstall the new update and install the previous version this goes away but as soon as I delete the old one and install the new one it creates a line on the back of the aircraft running under the passenger windows and through the left aft exit. I am going round in circles! I bought the PMDG B737NGX on Nov 5, 2014 from FlightStore UK. I wish to download liveries to add to my enjoyment but when I go to the PMDG website I am told I need to log in to my eCommerce account. I actuallyget the following message: "You will need to log-in to your eCommerce account and redownload the 737 installer from your View previous orders page or from your original purchase email." As you can see, I did not buy my boxed version direct from PMDG, so cannot follow this route. Can anyone explain how I can obtain the Service Pack 1d to upgrade my B737NGX? Apparently I need the update to enable me to get the <Operations Center> application, without which I am unable to download and use the liveries obtainable from PMDG. I do have the <Livery Manager> application installed, but am unable to download any liveries.

I'm running FS2004 and the current version of edit voice pack for it. I found a link to the last official update of edit voice pack for FS2004 and the file was dated in 2006. It was the files which you download to your computer and then go into edit voice pack update and do the offline update. It worked great and i was messing with some settings and lost it. I was wondering if anyone here knows where it is? Thanks for the help in advance. If some finds it for me I'll deliver a steak dinner B)
