REX Simulations are beta testing a hotfix for Sky Force 3D. In a post on their forum the REX team announced early this morning that Hotfix 2 for their Sky Force 3D weather engine had been released to beta testers. Highlights in the changelog include improved accuracy and smoothness during weather injections, fixes for Prepar3D v4 users and support for Pilot2ATC flight plan imports. A further update is expected on April 16.

Hi, After a year long break from the world of flight simming, what are the current "must have" utilities? Are there any new ATC programs? (Aside from voxatc/radar contact). Thanks in advanced!

I was so frustrated that I couldn't make individual custom axis profiles for each aircraft in MSFS, but I should have known that a smart developer would alleviate me of this frustration before too long. I just bought a program called Axis and Ohs by Lorbi (which is available to try for free), which makes setting custom controller axis and button profiles and templates a breeze. It's so easy to use! Has anyone tried this program yet? I'm surprised that I haven't heard a lot of excitement over this utility. It's genius and it works so well and solves a really big problem with MSFS (it also works with FSXSE and P3D!). You can change controller settings on the fly without having to go back to the main menu. I know that FSUIPC does the same thing in P3D, but Axis and Ohs (silly name!) works so much easier and cleaner than FSUIPC that I'm going to start using it for P3Dv5 also, instead of FSUIPC. This great utility is under $12 and it's free to try out. Please tell me if anyone else has tried this and is as excited about this utility as I am. I am amazed at how easy it is to use! Also Lorbi gives the best support.

There are some Utilities for FSX can do such practice (fstakeofftrainer10,FSiPanel,ect..),by simconnect and some of the addon aircraft for FS9 too(PMDG,LDS,ect..) I wander if there is any Utilities for FS9 to fail one for the engine when hit a per-set IAS, use FS9's own failure system or FSUIPC?

Since most manuals that come with addons are in .pdf format, are there any utilities out there for viewing a PDF in FSX? Since it's nearly impossible to remember a 15-step engine start sequence, I always have to minimize FSX, read a step, the maximize fsx and follow it. It would be a lot easier if the manual could be viewed with FSX in full screen and without pausing FSX every time you read a step. Does anybody know of a utility of sorts that could do this?Thanks,boeing247

As many of you know, I usually recommend everyone download and run AppCrashView in the event of a FSX crash or BlueScreenView if you encounter a Blue Screen crash. Now the developer of these products has released a collection of 181 utilities all in one package that you can place on your computer. It includes AppCrashView and BlueScreenView. Here are some of the utilities in this package: Password Recovery - shows most of your passwords in case you forgot. Desktop Utilities Outlook/Office Utilities Programmer Tools Disk Utilities System Utilities Internet Related Utilities Web Browser Tools Network Monitoring Tools and many more. One thing I like in the package is the IE Cookies View under Web Browser Tools. You can delete any of the cookies you do not want. Of course there are other ways to do this but this is at your fingertips! I strongly recommend this one and here's the link - http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/nirlauncher.html. Best regards,
