I am trying to lower the VRAM usage in P3Dv5.3.17 and this version cannot change. Currently, the specific way that I wish to do this is by causing the default/main P3D window to by default be small. I also will then lock this window to this size because other people will be using it that are not performance minded and may try to change the window size. I have found a minimum window size for some menus but no maximum window sizes. I have found a boolean to have the main screen open in full screen but not minimum screen. I have found sizes for many additional windows/menus in HTML code but not one for the main window or perhaps I missed it? Lastly, I have found the window lock boolean that hypothetically (I haven't tested it) lock a window size, you are welcome to add window lock information in case I am wrong about the window lock method. Most importantly, how/where do I change the default size of the primary P3D screen? I haven't been able to find it. Additional VRAM performance suggestions are appreciated but are ultimately not what I am after in this thread. I know you can optimize the settings in world/light to help with this. However, settings like this will ultimately be useless if the person full-screens the main window, in my situation them doing this will destroy any other performance gains. I wanted to know how is it that you can keep the pilot2ATC window within the Sim open and be able to click the buttons within the sim without the pilot2ATC window disappearing. Now I know that some people say that you have to run the flight simulator in the window mode but I can't do that using triple screens and I have also seen videos of people using pilot2ATC within the sim and they're able to change radio frequencies and start buttons and etc without the pilot2ATC window disappearing.

I remember reading somewhere on the forums that the plane can be installed and activated on up to 2 computers at the same time. I tried installing it on my laptop, however, I ran into some trouble: On the first install, everything seemed fine, but despite having been activated successfully, there was no landing gear or PFDs (I think this is the anti piracy system kicking in, right?). So I uninstalled the plane via Windows Control Panel, removed all of its files from the FSX folder, deleted its entries from the dll.xml file, and removed the fsx.cfg file. Then I started FSX to make sure all the changes took place - so far everything seemed to work as expected. Then I reinstalled the plane. Once I fired up FSX again, it asked me whether it should load the various .dll files it needs. I clicked "yes" on all of them. After selecting the T7 from the menu, it asked to load one or two more .dll files. I know it's supposed to show the activation window when the plane is selected for the first time, but it did not. I've tried reinstalling multiple times but still can't get the thing activated. Everything worked brilliantly when I installed it on the first computer (my main gaming rig). TL;DR: Activation window won't show up despite several reinstalls. Halp. Running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit with UAC disabled. CK

Hello, I intalled the 737 and when I opened the fsx and choosen the PMDG 737 there were no activation window. And when I started to fly I can not use the buttons just the engines worked. What can I do that I can see the Activation window??? Adrian

Hello, I am using P3Dv4.5 with Thrustmaster MFD controllers. I use it to set my cockpit views with EZDOK and my 2D panel through P3D. I am able to assign any panel until the window number is < 9. The FMS of one of my aircraft is set as Window_13. I cannot find a way to assign this panel to a key of my controller... any idea? thanks in advance Bruno

hello everybody, since my windows 8 AUTOMATICLY update, my fsx has literaly ######ed. i got black screens, fsx fatal error, microsoft flight simulator x has stopped working, i reintalled mi video card, y repair FSX literaly ten times, i tried changing the setting, i use ULautomationcore.dll fix, i tweak fsx.cfg and i tried using it in windowed and full screen mode. i really need help, my sistem specs are: intelcorei7-3632QM CPU 6gb of RAM 64 bit and AM RADEON HD7670m driver -
After some heavy development effort I have completed version 2.0 of WebSimConnect Framework. It has two major changes, I replaced the rendering engine (it is not backward compatible with 1.x components of WSC) and developed X-Plane version for Mac OSX 32 and Mac OSX 64. The biggest challenge for me was X-Plane Mac support. I am a "Windows guy" for many years so I had to learn a lot in a short time. I have dusted off my old MacBook (which I have never liked much), upgraded to OSX Yosemite, installed all the tools, synchronised with my on-line code repository and started coding. First of all, I replaced some core functions with cross-platform code and that was the easy part, Then I had to dig into OSX Cocoa world and investigate a bit how X-Plane for Mac is built. It was quite a challenge, however I am glad that after weeks of ups and downs (oh yes there was a time I was frustrated as hell) I managed to integrate WebSimConnect with X-Plane OSX version. I hope you will like the results. Mac version comes also with simple HTTP server called WebSimConnectX. Few remarks on the future. The rendering engine version is fixed for all future 2.X versions.I will not replace is for at least 2 years. Every new minor version of the tool for the same major 2.X release (i.e. 2.1, 2.2. etc) will use the same engine and will be always backward compatible with the previous 2.X versions. As usual, the deployment package contains all binaries, SDK and samples. Please consult the "Installation Guide" on how to install and configure the tool. Hello, This is driving me insane. For some reason I can't get the Window which has a zoom in of the autopilot controls to open up. The manual says it's Shift+4 and there are also also some click points that can be used to open it but none work for me. I re-installed 4 times and each time when I Shift+4 I get what a appears to be a popup window which lasts less than a second and goes away. Does anyone have any ideas what may e causing this? Thanks!

Until recently I've been able to hide my RC4 window using the key combination or clicking the 'x' in the upper right hand corner of the RC4 window. Now when I push the key combo nothing happens and when I click the 'x' the window disapppears but then automatically reappears after a few seconds. The window won't stay hidden and I don't know why. Todd

HI, I use Littlenav Map to make flight plans from scratch. 100% IFR flights because I fly on DeltaVA ACARS. I often first pick the departure and destination airports, pick their departure procedure and arrival procedures, calculate a route using jet airways, export to FSX-SE and save the LNMP file. I find it annoying when I need to look at the arrival I picked again including the runway to enter into the FMS in the simulator I find the list of arrival procedures just disappears. I have to go back through it all and figure out what I picked again to make sure the FMS and Littlenav Map flight plan are the same. My question is how do I keep the list of arrivals from disappearing after minimizing and maximizing the Littlenav Map window? Doyle
