I started a new thread in case this was missed in the other T2G OTHH thread.

 

For those with BGL based AI, download  http://stuff4fs.com/...er=AIFP&JS=TRUE

 

It has a "Find & Replace" option to edit airports.

 

Ok, here is what you do, in aifp2, go to "files", select "Open Traffic BGL" after it loads, at top menu, select "flight plans",  select "Find/Replace"

Next, where it says "field condition", select "Destination", next in the "Find box" type OTBD then in the "Replace" box, type OTHH then click on "replace With" and your done. Easy as that.

 

Edit: Re compile BGL when finished

 

Works in  FSX, and P3D

Not tried this with My Traffic, that could be interesting

Not a problem Al. I did forget to mention to re compile, I assume that would be important.

Will this download adjust AI traffic supplied by MyTrafficX Julian or should I try to use the MTX configurator tool?  I don't want to risk messing something up although Burkhard at the sim flight forums has been asked about the new OTHH scenery, but hasn't responded to any posts about it yet. 

 

Aivlasoft EFB showed OTBD loaded to the gills with planes, but OTHH was a ghost town except for me.

 

EDIT:  Just saw the end of your post about MTX...will wait for Burkhard to post something

Hi Chris, yes I read the posts @ mytraffic. Burkhard was not quite clear on the procedure.I am going to try again shortly, so will let you know. I use UT2/MTX combo.

Am in the process of re-building from scratch FSX. Would love to see this interface with MTX.

Thanks Julian....remember step by step and in plain English so dummies like me can comprehend    Yes the MTX interface looks a little intimidating

Not sure why Burkhard is not working for Nasa The compiling process is the stumbling block, because AIFP2 does not like the MTX format, so you can change the airport, but not compile. So I am trying to compile using the communicator, if that does not work, I will try the famous editor.

You can say that again. I think I am getting somewhere. I am just using the fsx SDK to dump the airports list, and then import to MTX editor. Will keep you posted.

Ok, I have deleted OTBD and added OTHH in the MTX Editor, have saved it, but need someone who can tell me how to compile it. Have run the schedule in communicator, but no MTX traffic.

 

Edit: never mind, got it figured.

Step 1:In start menu, All programs, scoll down to MyTraffic X open and select mytraffic editor

 

Step 2: Top menu, file/open select MTX_54b.myt  or MTX_54C.myt if using 2103 schedules

 

Step 3: Top menu, airport/edit, in the box that opens, click button on the right that say's "Edit by Airport Name". In the white empty pane on the right, click on it, and type DOHA. Click once again "Edit by Airport Name" and a box will appear with details regarding OTBD. At top right, click remove. Close the airport editor. Go to menu/file and click save.

Save as airport.txt and save to root folder of MTX

 

 

 

Step 5: Bring the editor up again, make sure database is still loaded, got to menu, airport and click import airport text.

No confirmation will occur, so don't think it has not imported, because it has

 

Step 6:

Go to menu, airport, edit this time, scroll down left pane till you see OTHH, highlight it, click edit,  in the box that appears, type in the name of OTTH  which is Hammad Intl. That is all that is required here. Click "Keep Changes" Close the airport editor.

 

Save changes as above.

 

Step 7:  Go to menu "Create" click on create all files and traffic, in the box that appears, click on the button on the top that says "Go Now" Be patient, this can take a while. Once you see the progress bars have stopped, you think it has not because it will say that in the main window. As long as the progress bars have stopped your safe to save and close the editor and test in fsx.

If you find it has not worked, go back to step 7 and try again.

Maybe someone has already suggested  a workaround but I would be needing instructions for how to add AI with Ultimate Traffic.
