May 27, 201610 yr Author Commercial Member Nice shot! Any chance we get to see the other liveries before release? The beta team has been given permission to show the liveries off (encouraged to do so, actually). I'm sure you'll see more of them in the coming hours/days. Kyle Rodgers

May 27, 201610 yr Author Commercial Member The old South African Airways? They skipped from the 4 to the 7. I'm sure someone will release a fictional at some point based on that, though. Kyle Rodgers
May 27, 201610 yr They skipped from the 4 to the 7. I'm sure someone will release a fictional at some point based on that, though. Ah yes, I was confusing the 6 and 7. Legacy props are not my strong point of knowledge I'm afraid. Wes Meyer
May 28, 201610 yr TAI (Transports Aériens Internationaux) before UTA used its DC6B on very long intercontinental routes and even logged the - then - longest flight on May 19th 1953 Los Angeles to Paris. Thank you to the artist who will undertake this job!
May 28, 201610 yr Author Commercial Member Ah yes, I was confusing the 6 and 7. Legacy props are not my strong point of knowledge I'm afraid. Yeah, the DC 4 engine props of that era all look pretty similar, too, so it's really tough. Kyle Rodgers
May 28, 201610 yr was hoping for the Red Bull Livery - but I guess someone will do that later :-) best regards, Alexander Barger
May 29, 201610 yr Author Commercial Member was hoping for the Red Bull Livery - but I guess someone will do that later :-) Without hacking into things, the current version of X-Plane doesn't really have any way to make a proper metallic texture. Without this, the Red Bull livery looks pretty rough... Kyle Rodgers
May 30, 201610 yr Commercial Member Without hacking into things Well, at least two developers (Flight Factor on the 767 and a single developer named sgier on his Pilatus) have done quite convincing reflection effects using plugins (and I guess you had to program plugins anyway), which, when combined with a metal paint, look quite convincing... (Interestingly, the P-51 Mustang by Khamsin has also a metal paint which looks surprisingly good, even without reflections). Mario Donick .:. vFlyteAir
