Nice Flight - STL to ORD (PIC)

Featured Replies

nice flight - (before FLY II had hard lock up):-(-used the real METAR weather for the evening-really enjoying the 757-picture is about 20 miles north of O'HareRegards,Chris

Where did you got the clouds? Also how do you get the real metar files? is there a program besides the Multiplayer weather importer that does this? Thanks,Teo

I got the clouds in the file library. They are by a man named Jure Dolanec. I think there are three sets of clouds & you can use two of them with Fly II (you have to choose between installing one set of clouds or another). I think two of them are called broken clouds, Cumulonimbus clouds, 'Big mammas, & another set may be called broken clouds. I am not sure exactly which section of the file library they are in, but if you look, I know you'll find them. The official names of the zip files are: broken.zip, cbbroken.zip, and cbclouds.zip.I did use real METAR weather. I do not know of any other way to import the weather without using the multiplayer importer.Hope you find those files! They are awesome!Sincerely,Chris

...Hi....usually I download metars data at this link ... http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/metar.shtml ... I select the one before the current cicle for the only reason that it is completed...then I save it in txt format in metars folder under fly 2 .... then I load it in fly 2 not by the multiplayer importer but by the normal loader ....... you can use also infometar that is a great add on ...... :-wavecheersIvan Italy
