July 14, 200223 yr Gentlemen:Do we have a FAQ or any hard do's and dont's regarding ensuring a level of continuous stability for the Fly!II/PMDG 757 add-on combination?I ask this because just yesterday my well-running-since-original-installation PMDG 757 lost its autothrottle capability. It just stopped working. I noticed that on climbout with VNAV engaged, the airspeed never reached its target 300 knots (as set and as indicated by the airspeed bug). Then, with only autothrottle speed enabled (i.e. VNAV, FLCH, V/S extinguished), I was unable to obtain the desired/set target speed. [As a sidebar: I experimented a bit and determined that the autothrottle behaved as if the speed target was 80 knots BELOW what was set and what was indicated. A 300 knot setting resulted in a 220k maintained speed.]Perhaps related: In the 10 or so flights prior to the autothrottle ceasing to function, I began experiencing an increasing number of winrun.cpp errors and screen lockups, and the flight just prior to the one with the inop autothrottle ended with a winrun.cpp error. (Prior to EVERY flight I replace the .key and .hst files with known good files).During flights I am running Fly!II.230 and the PMDG 757 - there are no other add-ons. I have no add-on scenery other than my own rendered/sliced areas. And as I mentioned above - this installation had been functioning flawlessly for about 2 months. I do fly using Metar weather. When I do get a winrun.cpp I attempt to repeat the flight or the segment where the failure occurred. I have not been able to establish any trends in terms of successes or failures - the errors appear to be intermittent - the worst kind! I am aware of the .hst, .sit, .key issues and was wondering if we had any additional 'hard' evidence for things that should or should not be done.FWIW: my sim base/config is:ASUS P4S533 mobo w/1.6ghz P4ASUS 7700 GeForce2 64mb video card1 gb ramSoundblaster PCIXP homeFly!II.230PMDG 757 w/o PMDG 777I have since reestablished the autothrottle capability by reinstalling the PMDG 757.Thanks - any insights would be appreciated.-michael
