July 3, 200322 yr Hi guys, just one quick question...I have tried to enter different values in the INIT page on the FMC for the Cost Index but the calculated CRZ speed/mach is always mach 0.755.Just wanted a confirmation that Cost Index is not implemented and eventually if you'll include it in the future. Thanks in advance!Regards,Bjorn

July 3, 200322 yr Thanks again for your reply Anthony. If I may I would like to pose another question. Today I flew from LIRF to LIMC...I inserted my CRZ ALT inthe FMC Init page. My initial altitude assigned by ATC on the ELB5A SID was 5000ft, so I put 5000 in the MCP. After takeoff I engaged LNAV and passing 1500ft I engaged VNAV following the FD bars manually. After a few seconds I engaged the A/P. What happened is that in VNAV with A/P engaged the plane busted through the 5000ft I had set up in the MCP. Shouldn't the A/P even if in VNAV stop at 5000'? Doesn't the MCP altitude have priority? What I would like to know is if this is a built-in logic of the Boeing or if it's a glitch in the VNAV logic. I'll try it again and see what happens. Thanks for your assistance, ciao!Regards,Bjorn
July 4, 200322 yr Yes the MCP allways have priority no matter if you climb or decent, only time it is not used is when you have a succesfully ILS capture.Dennis
