July 4, 200322 yr There's so many people complaining in this forum; I felt it was time to say: Well done PMDG!Of course it took a while before I could download, but that worked out. Of course it took some time before I got the registration code. So what? I was sure it would arrive before the 10 days were up. No worries! Framerates? Yeah, with the 3-d panels it was a little disappointing. Then again, I have to be realistic. I only have a 1300 celeron, with 384mb and a Geforce2 GTS with 64MB. With every slider roughly at 50% (AI traffic a little over that) and framerates locked at 16 (you can't tell the difference between 16 and 20, trust me) I get framerates between 15-16 which is OK. Even when getting near airports with a lot of traffic it stays that way. And mind you, I have Ultimate traffic installed....Robert, Mark, Lefteris and all I forgot: GREAT JOBA happy 737 jockey from the Netherlands (can't wait for the 800/900 in the beautiful KLM blue!)
July 4, 200322 yr I agree! This is a wonderful product!!!There are some flaws as you can call toothing aches...But the product is amazing! The displays act JUST like you have seen modern Boeings do!!!They are crisp and amazing to watch in action:-)There is a strange sound when you put on the spoilers in mid air, and the refreshing or updating process must be dealt with, because it updates itself all at once, giving the FS2002 a stutter...But all of these things will be dealt with I'm certain of!Also the only negative remarks written, had been directed towards the copyright protection and registration procedures!!!Don't EVER forget that! I have not heard anyone complain about the quality of the panel!!!Great job PMDG AS EXPECTED :DBoaz...
July 4, 200322 yr the panels are absolutely GREAT.I love all the different views and the crisp quality.I hear ya on the stuttering when a sound file has to be played. I experience that during the speed callouts. 8-8-8-8-0 knots... V1...R-r-r-r-otate V-v2 LOLI just defragmented my disk, perhaps that helps a bit... Will test that tonight.cheers!Henk
July 4, 200322 yr Speed call outs PLURAL? Where? How? Who? What? Tell me! Tell me! Edit: Forget it, I figured it out. I was more stupid than even my wife says I am (grin)! Jaap Verduijn.
July 4, 200322 yr Jaap, the 80 knots is of course a standard call out, not a variable so to say. V1-Rotate-V2 depend on the aircraft configuration etc (am sure you know). So, I suspect you have not set up the FMC correctly. You have to press the V1 R V2 buttons on the FMC once you have completed the other pages. Initially the value will show --, but once you press the corresponding button, it will give you a calculated speed. Only after you have done that, the V1-R-V2 speed settings will apear in the display as well and you will hear the callouts!Hope this helps.Henk
