Problems with NavData registration/download

Featured Replies

I've enjoyed flying around in the 737TNG using the auto-pilot, and now I'm ready to try out the FMC. To do this I assume I need to first download the NavData from Richard Stefan's website at www.navdata.at. Because I've never done this before I must first register so that I can logon. How do I do this? I see nothing on the web-page at www.navdata.at that would enable me to register with the service or even to log on. The only link that works on this page is the one to PayPal. I made a donation thinking it would lead to a registration page but it didn't - so now I'm feeling somewhat ripped off because I've handed over some of my hard earned cash and have nothing to show for it. Could someone please tell me how I am supposed to register with this service (I must be missing something obvious but I don't know what it is).

Craig --Hit, User menu, new registration. That will do ya.

The problem is, I don't see a User menu. I'm using IE5.5 on Windows ME, and I have cookies enabled. Where abouts is this User menu?

I've had an E-mail response from Richard Stefan himself which explains what is going on here. Basically I have Norton Personal Firewall installed, and this prevents the tree view containing the user menu from being displayed. The solution is to temporarily disable the firewall or to add www.navdata.at as a trusted site in the firewall setup. Many thanks to Richard for his help with this.
