July 5, 200322 yr Greetings,I've been trying to get the 737 into the air and have been unsuccessful getting the A/T to work properly and wanted to know what step I'm missing. Everything else on the plane seems to work as expected. Here's what I'm doing: I use the FMC to input a flight plan, even though the aircraft should be able to use the A/T without one, right? When I try to activate the A/T on the ground, "arm" flashes briefly on the PFD, but the switch flicks back to the off position. I also can not get the N1 button to light up or work. In the DF737 and the PIC 767, all that was required to activate the A/T was to click the button. Is the procedure different for this aircraft? Since there is no documentation yet available, I can't reference that. I also looked at the FAQ and saw nothing there that pertained to this problem. I looked here on the forum and someone else had the same problem. He was advised to make sure the generators were on. If so, what is the correct setting? There are Gen Stby, APU, Gen 1, Gen 2, etc. I tried different settings for the generator and had no luck.I also had no luck with the SP button either, the speed bug shows up fine, but when it reaches the desired speed, she keeps right on going. I'm sure both of the problems have to be something I'm either doing or not doing. I can't seem to get it resolved and I'm getting frustrated trying to get something to work that should real easy.Any help would be deeply appreciated.Sincerely,Hans Groenewold
July 5, 200322 yr Thanks Sean,I was turning the APU GEN knob and not the two toggle switches down below that I was supposed to. I knew it had to be something simple, and it was. Thanks for your help, it works fine now.Sincerely,Hans Groenewold
