July 15, 200322 yr Would it be possible, without too much difficulty ;-), to modify the graphics of the Stab Trim Cutout switches to show the switches resting on top of the guard when NOT cutout? Unlike 767/747 trim cutout switches, the switches aren't hidden behind a guard.http://members.ozemail.com.au/~b744er/737/...outSwitches.jpgThanks!Cheers.Ian.
July 15, 200322 yr Wow Ian,too bad PMDG didn't know about you before development! You seem to be able to get very awesome and detailed photos!Cheers,Jeff
July 15, 200322 yr Hi Ian,Again, a nice picture. You couldn't do make a "switch by switch cockpit tour in 100 pictures", could you :-)Seriously, I have to speak up for PMDG on this one. In my Boeing 737 manual there are no less than three different drawings of these switches, with the famous "as installed" pointer. One drawing depicts "your" Boeing and one of them PMDG's. And the third, well, the third just looks odd.Leo Bakker
July 15, 200322 yr Oops, sorry, just took another hard look at the PMDG pedestal and I have to agree with you, Ian. I thought the switches were COMPLETELY hidden by their covers, just like for instance the flight control switches. Now THAT is a company option. However, the PMDG switches seem to be hidden by half a cover. Also, I can't get them to move, they seem to stay in the down position all the time. And finally both in your picture and in all the three drawings I have, cut off is down, not up.And now that we've discussed their looks, the question is of course if their function is supposed to be simulated :-)Leo Bakker
July 16, 200322 yr "You couldn't do make a "switch by switch cockpit tour in 100 pictures", could you"I could, Leo, but remind me to dust them before I shoot them ;-) These closeup shots tend to show up skin flakes, biscuit crumbs, etc."One drawing depicts "your" Boeing and one of them PMDG's."Ah hah.... So there may be no need for PMDG to modify their appearance, other than to move the toggles into the correct position to match the guards (i.e. Guards open, toggles to DISARM).Unfortunately, the only 737's I seem to see around here are Classics... and ultra-modern 800's... No 600's/700's. On the Classics, when I open up the guards, the underside of them are brightly coloured, so it's easy to see that they have been moved (not unlike the A/P Disconnect Bar).Cheers.Ian.
