My nav radios have quit working!!!

Featured Replies

Hi PMDG,Up until yesterday the NAV radios worked fine, but now for some reason I am unable to recieve any ILS (or VOR) radio. Yes, the freqs are in the active box, not the standby box. Any thoughts on what could cause this?-Shaun

Your FS avionics bus is off and the NG panel does not control it.. Go to the default 172 and turn on the avionics, then switch to the NG.Hopefully PMDG will address this in their patch, but they have been completely silent on the subject so who knows.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Thanks Lee. I will give that a try. It is pretty wild that in a $40.00 737 simulation you have to interact with the systems in the stock 172 in order to get the systems in the 737 to work properly. If I recall I had to interact with the systems in the 172 in order to get the 737 to start up with it's engines off too.It seems like every few days I discover something else that was done half way in this plane. :( I can't think of any other add-on where you have to use a whole different plane to turn on and off systems in the one you bought. I hope that you are right and the systems will be completed the rest of the way in the patch. PMDG, if you read this, it would be really great to have the switches save their state between flights too, so we could have it load up in the type of state you would find the plane in after a turn-around. :)-Shaun

I've said my piece on the panel not turning on FS' avionics bus. If PMDG doesn't fix it, I'll write a tiny invisible gauge that will turn it on automatically.I also wish some add-on other than 767PIC could save its complete state in the .flt file. I have yet to see anyone else reproduce this desirable behavior. I don't know how they did it as it isn't part of the SDK.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Hi Shaun, yes currently there is no "Avionic Master Switch", I hope PMDG will fix that. My shortcut just define a new key assignment in control section - FS Menu. Regards.
