Why Is Installation Asking For Disc 2 ? Please Help

Featured Replies

Greetings,I tried to install the service update and ran into a problem. I searched the forum and could find nothing that pertained to this. I have both FS2002 and FS2004 installed on the same drive, which should not make any difference. When I went to install the base NG737 into FS2004, halfway through the install it asked me to insert Disc 2. I didn't do this to me when I installed it into FS2002.I then used selective startup, disabled my virus scanner and got the same result when I tried another install. Lastly, I removed NG737 from FS2002 thinking that maybe it was causing a conflict. Still no luck, now it won't even let me install it back into FS2002 without asking for Disc 2. I can't imagine why it's asking for a disc that I don't have.I'm running XP and hope someone can help me. Thanks for any help you can provide.Sincerely,Hans Groenewold

just Download all setup files again and make sure you put them in the same directory as your main setupfile. Do not run de main file in Winzip, but extract to the same directory as the other setupfiles. Try to run again.good luck.Floris

Floris,Thanks for replying to my post. Your suggestion made sense as I found out what I was doing wrong. I was running the exe. file from outside the PMDG folder where the other three files were. Once I ran it within the folder, it went fine. Thanks for your help.Sincerely,Hans Groenewold
