Problems in FS2004

Featured Replies

I have newly installed FS2004 and PMDG. I got three problems: 1. The sound is flickering and I'm only hearing noise2. I cannot tune the nav radio decimals e.g. the last two numbers for the VOR freq.3. I can't plot in desired climb speed in mach in the FMC(works fine for kts).Is this bugs or am I doing something wrong here? Please help me.

I just loaded the NG and i'm having the same problem with the sound... its very staticy and crackling.another problem... my frame rates have dipped big time... the sliders on FS9 are medium at best with minimal effects and i'm getting no better than 9 to 11 fps with default a/c and like 4 to 6 with the PMDG. Now i'm not running the worlds fastest system but my cpu does surpase both microsofts and pmdg's suggested/recomended specs... whats going on?thanks,Justin P.

A gotcha to look for is that if you use multiple views you must close the first view before switching to the second. Why? Because the first view is still being drawn so now the poor old CPU is trying to display two sets of displays instead of one.I often switch between shift 1 and shift 2, I though shift 2 was using twice the FPS of shift 1. Ir wasn't, I just had to close shift 1 when shift 2 was up and visa-versa. If you get my drift :-)This might not be your problem but it certainly had me going the first few days!

1. Make sure that you have the latest driver for your soundcard. If you have asoundblaster, you MUST upgrade the driver, because I had the same problem.2. This has been covered a couple of times in other topics. I don't recall thesolution, but you can try to search in the topics about that.3. No idea....Best regards Bj

I finally managed to get rid of the sound problem and it now works fine! The solution is to download the newest sound drivers for your sound card.

I got another problem!PMDG 737NG and the ServicePack 1 are installed (on fs9)!The AIRAC Cycle is installed! The SID/STARS are installed! My problem is that all Navaids and Airports are about 40NM away from their normal position on the FMC. If I enter LSZH as departure Airport (standing on any parking pos on LSZH), the Airport will appear about 40NM away from the position of the aircraft. Flying with the FMC is not possible because of that problem! What can I do?

In the USA a period "." is used as a decimal delimeter, whereas in much of Europe, a comma "," is used.If you have your country settings in window set to use a comma as a delimeter it triggers two problems:1) Navdata becomes offset.2) You lose the ability in some cases to tune the decimal portions of the frequencies in the radios.so: change your country settings inside Windows to use a period as a decimal delimiter. How to modify the ountry settings? Start Menu/Settings/Control Panel/Regional and Language Options/Regional Options/Customizeauf deutsch:Start/Systemsteuerung/Regions- und Sprachoptionen/Regionale Einstellungen/Anpassenother languages:you have to search by yourself ;)

That's it! Thank you very much for that idea ;)auf deutsch: Danke, aber wieso is das das einzige Addon das damit Probleme hat (zumindest bei mir)?
