Battery Master

Featured Replies

I have an issue when ever I taxi in and shut down the engines, running off of the APU. Every time, afer a minute or so everything goes dark as if the battery master is shut off (which I'm not) but the APU is still running and on the bus. There's voltage showing on the APU, but everything is dark, and I cannot figure how to turn it back on.IIRC, the displays are on the standby bus, so that might be where the issue is, but I do not know at this time.Tim

Tim,Yes, the displays are on the standyby bus, so they shouldn't be going off...Are your APU generators online? This could be the only thing in my mind that would cause something close to what your saying...Oh, and maybe perhaps it could be the dreaded 'FS battery drain' bug. Do you have FSUIPC installed, with the unlimited battery option checked?

I have this problem too! I am only using the freeware version of FSUIPC tho. . .can't shell out the 20E just yet. :-( This is in FS2004 for me. -drew-

Hi Gents,I had this issue with my first installation of the 737 in FS2K2. I don't recall that there was anybody with the problem back then, but I could never get the avionics to stay on after the engines were shut off. Do you have APU bleed on - this was suggested to me, but I have subsequently blanked my hard drive in order to reload windows and COF a little later today. I can't comment whether this would work.I used to start up and do all the FMS programming on the taxi. You quickly become proficient in using the scratchpad!!Bryan

"FS battery drain' bug"Microsoft has never fixed the bug why????all aircraft do it! you need the full ver of FSUIPC
