Despite the fact that PMDG is working on some known VNAV issues, I continue to be impressed by this product. So firs, I must say Thank You to PMDG for pushing the FS envelope!Now, on to the flight. I setup a short flight from KBWI-KBDL to try out specific (yet very common) VNAV descent procedure. I must say that despite a small issue on the DES page of the FMC, my VNAV descent went just perfect to plan. Here is the setup:-Cruise at FL250-30NM to T/D point-A crossing restriction on my route at MAD VOR at 11,000'-This flight assumes ATC clears me at 30NM to T/D to descend early to 11,000'-I enter 11,000 in the MCP-Select DES NOW in FMCThis last point is important because I'm inside 50NM to my T/D point AND the descent from ATC is part of my arrival profile. Had I been further out, say 100 Miles and ATC cleared me down to FL200, I'd use a CRZ DES procedure by simply entering a lower crz alt in the FMC CRZ page.Once I hit DES NOW with 11,000 dialed in the MCP:-Airplane starts a 1,000'/min descend as normal-My original T/D waypoint is still visible on the ND-ACT ECON PATH DES shows on the FMC DES page-Line 1R of DES page correctly shows my crossing restriction of 11,000' at MAD-However, Line 2R SHOULD show TO T/D (my original T/D point) with time/dist since I started the descent early with DES NOW. Right now is shows TO MAD, which would be correct had I started the VNAV descent right at the planned T/D point.-As expected, the DES page shows my VERT DEV increasing beLO the path. -Passing the original T/D point, the VERT DEV starts decreasing (back towards 0) as expected, and eventually I capture the original VNAV path.-At that point, the throttles go back to idle (actually FMC SPD Annunciated on PFD), and airplane captures path at about 2,500'/min to MAD.-NOW line 2R of the DES page is correct in showing TO MAD with time and distance information.I hit the crossing restriction just a tad late, but no big deal. Once level at 11,000, I performed the remaining descents into the terminal area with LVL CHG and then VS. Very nice job and predictable behavior out of the FMC.
