Hi,I have just purchased the 737tng and I am having a little trouble loading the FMC database and getting the sidstars.I am using Fs2004. The aircraft installation was okay.I have downloaded the airac 0308 from Stefans site, but cannot install it to the FMC database. The installer is directing the installation to FS2002. I think it isn't ready for Fs2004.I know I still have a lot of reading to do.Thanks for any help.Mal

You have to change the directory to the FS9 directory. If you cant, let it install to FS2002 and then move the files into the sid/stars folder.

Are there any navdata / sidstars in the default setup?Installing airac 0308, I changed the directory to Flight Simulator 9 and it puts some files in that directory, and not in the FMC.I cannot file any folder / file for the FMC.In FS, the FMC is showing; Navdata -- Not valid Active -- not valid.It did the exact same thing in FS2002The SidStar folder in the PMDG folder in FS9 shows two files.I had FS2002 in its own partition and FS9 in its own partition.I have since reformatted both partitions and re-installed FS9 and the PMDG 373 into FS9. I also installed the update SU1 downloaded yesterday when I purchased the aircraft.The aircraft is there, I've got it into the air.In addition to the above, there is nothing on the map view of the gps.I am about to print out akll the manuals, but any help would be great.Mal

Path for airac installer x:/program files/microsoft games/flight simulator 9/FMCWPT/NAVDATA I now have the FMC data 0308 installed.At the moment I am unable to get the sidstar files.If you have them can you send them to:[email protected]'ll keep you advised of my progress in-case others are having a similar problem.Thanks.
