Engine failure when center tank empty?

Featured Replies

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but on a flight from YBBN to YPPH last night when the center tank emptied the right engine failed. All fuel pumps remained on throughout and the wing tanks were both full of fuel.Any ideas if there is a solution to this issue? Thanks,Andy.

HiThis matter is discussed here:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchI hope this works.Simply the fix involves switching off the centre tank fuel pumps before the centre tank is empty.Simon.

Thanks Simon, missed that post!As it was a 4.5 hour flight I was out of the room for a while and when I returned all hell was breaking loose! Will give the fix a try.Andy.
