function/key mapping and API

Featured Replies

From my search of the forum it appears that this doesn't yet exist, so I would like to ask the developers about this:What's the possibility of getting key mapping to various 737NG functions, or some programmatical API?I use a number of goflight usb control modules (www.goflightinc.com), which work quite well with default fs9 aircraft, but not so well withvarious PMDG 737NG functions (A/P, etc). Now, one of the goflight modules does allow mapping of external buttons to keypresses, but there doesn't seem to be a way to map keypresses to corresponding NG only functions.Additionally, if an API was extended for NG, I could write an interface which would allow the goflight modules to interact (with the MCP for example). This would make building a "virtual cockpit" with 737NG a real possibility. ;)Any ideas?

HiI`ve just started to use this.http://www.wideview.it/key2mouse.htmIt seems to work ok so far and I bet it could interface to a certain degree with GoFlight as far as keypresses are concerned. It would be better though if PMDG were to do it as it would eliminate the need for extra modules and manually loading definition files. It is a decent stopgap in the meantime.Bill
