September 9, 200322 yr Godd morning all,I just got my 737...incredible. I am having just a few little problems and it's probably operator error. First, I downloaded the SIDSTAR from the PMDG website about a week ago (something like 1September or 31August). I did just as instructed, unzipped all the files into the FS2004/PMDG/SIDSTAR directory. I checked to make sure all the files unzipped into that folder and ran FS9. When I opened up the FMC and tried to load my origin airport under the RTE screen (I tried KDEN, KLAX, KSFO, KSEA...) it kept saying NOT IN DATABASE in the lower left hand corner of the FMC screen, where I had typed in the airport. Do I need to place those files in another folder also? What is the flightplans folder for? What am I doing wrong? Second, why can't I arm the autothrottle switch? I press it and there is a sound of a click but it won't flip up. I can see a little light appear on the artificial horizon that flashes ARM (or something)as I click the autothrottle switch. Any ideas? One last thing....the computer I have FS9 on is not hooked up to the internet. How can I register my PMDG 737? Thanks for any help and have a great day--Darren
September 9, 200322 yr DarrenYou have to download some nav files from Richard Stefan's website and install them in your FMCWP/NAVDATA folder under your FS2004 folder. There's plenty of info on how to do this - I suggest you take a look at the FAQ section of the support site or search this forum (try 'navdata'). Ignore the Flightplans folder, thats for when you save a flightplan.Regarding the A/T switch - have you turned the Flight Director (FD) on? Also, go to the overhead panel and make sure your generator switches are on. BTW, are you sure you have installed the latest patch (I guess you must have if you just got it).
