September 17, 200322 yr Hi all!Just a quick question. I was doing a flight from YBBN to YPAD the other day and went to bed in the middle of the flight, saving it of course so i could continue the next day. When i loaded the flight, i had lost all my FMC route info and the autopliot was off etc. Is there anyway way of saving a flight and being able to load it back up without losing all your FMC flight info? If it makes any difference i was flying a jet airways IFR flight using the Fs2004 flight planner and then converted it and loaded it into the FMC.CheersBeau Jackson
September 18, 200322 yr G'day, Beau.At the moment, there doesn't appear to be any way of saving your FMC info (or, for that matter, a lot of sim switch positions).Did you try to re-enter DEST and Leg info in flight? (I hear it can be done... I just haven't figured out how to do it).Cheers.Ian (YSSY)
September 18, 200322 yr I was able to put in my destination airport, but not my departure airport. I have no idea how to put the legs in though. Oh well, doesn't worry me TOO much, just thought i would ask. Maybe a fix is on the horizon anyway. Hope so!BeauGold Coast
September 18, 200322 yr "I was able to put in my destination airport, but not my departure airport. I have no idea how to put the legs in though."The ORIGIN airport cannot be put in anyway, as per the manuals, Beau, so that's normal. Re the LEGS... I think you have the same problem I have. I cannot make any entries once the FMC has "crashed". I'm wondering if any other Aussies are having this problem?Cheers.Ian.
September 19, 200322 yr Oh well. I have come up with a "KIND OF FIX" for this problem. What i do is just pause the sim, alt-tab back to my desktop and then put the computer in hirbernation. Then when i reload the next day it is all good! Not really a fix but does the trick for me until something else is discovered!Beau Gold Coast
September 19, 200322 yr No problems! I had to come up with something because i am only 1/4 of the way to Perth and i didn't want to start all over again!CheersBeau Gold Coast
