hi folks .... a newbie here ... i have a problem during the app ..i capture the g/s using the vor/loc .. bot nav radio's are tuned into the correct freq... i then click the app button ... then once descending on the glide slope i click the second autopilot to arm the autoland everything is well then i get a diss from the the 2 autopilots ..then in the fmd i can see the words in yellow cws or something .... hope someone can help sort this little problem out for us ....kind regards micah

Sounds like you are doing this too far into the landing. I believe you are running into the autopilot lockout that prevents modes from being changed once things are active. The only way to change things is to disable the autopilot and cycle the Flight Directors once committed.You should be dialed in and locked up with both autopilots prior to starting down the glideslope. Trying to do it after the G/S mode is active is too late.Ray
