October 14, 200322 yr Hello to everyone,I have been using the PMDG 737 for FS9 for a couple of days and I know I understand why I always shied away from advanced commercial liners add-ons....they are just too complicated for the casual user. Ok, now that my frustration is vented, here is my problem it is basically a compounded problem of many I have read about here.First the FMC...I did read (skimmed) through the tutorial and in honbesty I should spend more time with it but here is the problem: I generate a flightplan with FSbuild 1.4something, with depp and arr runways, export it to the pmdg flight plan folder and load it via co-route. Then the depp/arr runway disapear and I get the Program error message in the FMC and from there I am basically lost. I have seen this problem posted somewhere and read that it was a FSbuild problem. Can someone give a definitive answer on that? The Approach, ILS/GS disconect. I have managed only one smooth auoland with the 737 and after that at the same airport with the exact same configuration (basically the same flight) I get problems when I get about 5 miles (sometimes before) of the treshold. THe aircaft goes heavily nose up, or turns or stalls nose up. I have tried it with FMC, without the FMC, with authotrottles and without, with different speed and flaps settings...nothing will do, even in single channel the aircraft will not follow the GS as if he knew that I didn't know anything about landing a heavy liner and was afraid....I read of this problem on the forums and somedy said something about re-installing? if this works, can I someone tell me if the following steps are correct: download removal tool and ....remove the 737re install the first executable and restart the machine or do not restart the machine and install SU1-1?Any help will be greatly appreciated,Massoud
October 14, 200322 yr On your first problem, you should not get the runways loaded automatically, you select them from the DEP/APP page on the FMC.About the program error, I think you need to make sure you have the latest navdata.About the ILS disconnect, just know it might happen, and when it does, disconnect the AP, select lower altitude, and VS, and enable the AP. When you are below the GS, then enable the APP again.
