No Navdata in FMC

Featured Replies

I just loaded up my 737 and started a flight from KATL/KORD and when I went into the fmc and went to set KATL I get a not in database. My navadata is in my FS2004 under FMCWP/navdata.Any ideas? Jeffg

Hi Jeff,if I don't go wrong you have the same problem with the PSS navdata. What I presume is that either the airac 0310 files are corrupt or you' re not giving the correct path to the installer.I suggest you try downloading again the files from www.navdata.at and reinstalling again. If you use FS2004 make sure it's pointing to that and not FS2002, maybe you just overlooked that little thing.I did a little test flight yesterday to KATL form KSAV and the airport is indeed in theFMC database with all stars and runways.Hope this helps.regards,Bjorn

I did have the same with pss and now it works fine but still can't get any data on the 737 no airports or any navdata. Jeffg

Here is the pic showing my path to navdata and everything looks right but still have no airports, runways or any navdata. Jeffg

Hi Jeff,Indeed everything looks right from the picture you posted with one exception there should be a 367K Airport DAT file missing (there should be 6 files in the navdata folder). From this I suspect you got a problem when downloading the database from NavData. Suggest you download it again and run the install over the existing one.Last resort if you cannot get the airport file showing up in the Navdata folder pm you email address and I will send it you.Michael

Hello Jeff, Michael is right. As I was telling you also the problem is in some way the corrupt installer that doesn't install the .DAT file which is what should place all airport info.Regards,Bjorn

That was the problem,I downloaded the file again and reinstalled and the airport file was there.I loaded up FS2004 and it now works and loads routes. Thanks for all the great help,as always with problems the forums are a blessing. Jeffg
