Hi all, I tried searching for this but could not find anything on this issue. I read and followed Mr. Metzinger's FMC tutorial. Absolutely a must for anyone new to this product! Great work and thank you very much for putting that together. My question is an easy one. When entering my flight into the FMC from an airport without a SID and landing at an airport without a STAR, I do not get the ACTIVATE in the lower right of the FMC as I would with entering airports with a SID or STAR. I know I am missing something easy. Any ideas??Thanks everyone, especially PMDG for a great product!Eric

Are you entering a departing and arriving runway in the plan?Also check your route for any discontinuity between the airport and the first waypoint, and between the last waypoint and the arr. airport. Both should be listed as "DIRECT". If there are any dashed lines, delete them.Warren Fischer

Hi EricIt is quite simple. The activate function is only available when you have at least one new or changed waypoint in your flight plan. Now you can either go and make a final approach fix on the approch page (just enter a distance from the runway you have selected, where your bird should catch up the ILS or, if no ILS availabe, where you want to start your visual approach. Or your can enter any waypoint in your flight plan, for example the first VOR you fly over/by.As soon as there is at least one waypoint in ther flght plan page you can activate your flight plan.Hope that helps you a bit...Cheers :-beerchug Martin
