I've been doing some "test flights" to improve my manual landing skills during turbulence and just had a (imho) very hard landing on RWY 16 at LSZH. I was surprised that the gear survived it... (I'm running FS9 with max. realism settings).Is structural stress simulated well in FS9? What's your experience? Does the PMDG 737NG differ or are default values in place for how much an A/C can endure?Nik

I experienced a landing once that made my teeth hurt. We were floating several meters above the runway for a very long time in a Fokker or a Dash-8, as we were running out of runway the pilot had to either go-around or time the oscillation of the wings and just drop the aircraft so that the aircraft would be level when the wheels hit the ground.He went for hitting the ground and fortunately he timed it well, I now have a lot of respect for the strength of (at least some) aircraft undercarraiges!Steven.
