Who did the sound for 737NG?

Featured Replies

I would just like to tip my hat to the individual who did the sounds on the NG. They are truly phenomenal - some of the best sounds to grace my ears in all my years of flight simming. The auditory experience, in my opinion, is one of the most important aspect of creating a believable virtual environment. Sound generally plays 3rd fiddle (no pun intended!) in most expansions for FS. I was very pleased to see this level of attention to sound that PMDG put into the 37NG.Looking forward to the update.J

Just like to say I totaly agree. MInd you its up to the level of the rest of the program. Just great.Cant wait to see the 800 version.

Yes, the sound are great. If only they could play a little softer. Even with the engine slider at the minimum, and the other sliders at max, I can barely hear the ATC. I don't have this problem with the other built in planes, so it's like PMDG's sound just play much louder than the defaults.Anyone else remarked this?Eric.

No.....I hear the ATC just fine. The only thing is that I'm sort of lucky that I'm only 31, and that I eat properly and exercise regularly. The other night, sitting there flying manually, everything quiet except for the drone of the engines, when suddenly this voice shouted out "Bank Angle..BANK ANGLE". I literally JUMPED out of my seat and my joystick fell to the floor (it wasn't damaged though). If I was 70, with a poor failing heart, that would have put me out of my misery....:-) All the warning sounds are really loud like that....but I guess that makes sense...they ARE warnings after all.

My ears are OK, thank you. I also hear all the warnings and other cockpit sounds loud enough. It's only ATC that I find a little too soft.As for exercising, now that we have entered the winter season, I slowed down to only about 5 hours a week. I regularly do road bike and trail running, long distances only. My last big event for this year was just 3 weeks ago : a 65 kms mountain trail run with 3000m of positive denivellation. I already set my objective for next june. It will be going from Bordeaux to Paris on road bike in a single stage. This is 620 kms and will take about 24 hours non stop on the bike, at an average of 28 km/hour.Now, don't ask me what all this has to do with PMDG or fligh simming. YOU started the conversation about doing sport :-)Eric.

:-) :-) :-) :-)That happened to me just yesterday!!!I had the room lights off for an 0530 departure in real time and when the ***B A N K A N G L E*** warning went off I almost jumped up onto the desk!I'm 58 and on BP meds -- usually take 'em around 0800, but yesterday's were a bit early. ;-) Bob Fiegel

Well the reference to exercising properly is to prevent any ill effects (notably heart attacks) from these loud and Sudden warnings....The Glideslope warning, although loud, isn't too bad because you're looking at the bar, and you realise that its going too high....so you're prepared for that. But I must say...that BANK ANGLE...was pretty extreme.......So eat properly,Take your Vitamins,Ride your trails, or give Bally's your money, or whatever......So that you dont have to end up calling 911.... :-)Now I understand why real world pilots have to be in tip top shape.... :) BTW, the only thing I'm greatful for is that I didn't have my customary glass of Heineken sitting there on the table.....would have spilled it all over my Joystick and keyboard...... :-)EDIT: To the PMDG staff....don't take this the wrong way. I love the loud warnings...really wakes you up. Plus, you only get these warnings if you're doing something wrong like me. Fly the airplane properly, and no warnings.....:-sun1
