General settings for my system??!!

Featured Replies

HiI've been a MSFS fan for a long time. But i stopped flying for some time for several reasons. One of those reasons was that i didn't have a good system to run FS2K, and FS98 was getting just too obsolete. Anyway I'm back with a new system and FS2K2, but i'm looking for some advice on what settings should i have on my sim and on my video card (I have the Geforce Tweak utility) to get most of this incredible sim. Also , if you know of any site that provides this kind of info, or if you know of any program or any utility to get most of my system. Any Help will be welcomed.. well this is the description of my system:PIV 1.7 Ghz512 Megs of SDRam40 Gigs HDNvidia Geforce2 MX 400 (64 Megs)The soundcard is that integrated with the motherboard which is aIntel D845HVI also have a SOndblaster PCI 16 sound card which i only use for connecting the joystickCH PEDALS CH FlighsimYoke(I'm having problems activating the reverse thrust with this yoke, any tips on that?)etc Thank You very much for your help

My card is (CPU for that matter) is different, but the first thing I noticed with my Geforce3Ti500 & the new system, was the paint jobs on the default aircraft were not near as crisp as my previous PIII600/Viper 770 Ultra. This new system is six months old now, but changing the video card setting from best performance to best graphics made all the difference. I now use other settings using NVmax. At this point, the paint jobs & reflective surfaces put my older setup to shame!!L.AdamsonAthlon 1900XPGeforce3Ti500512 DDRram22" monitor 1600*1200*32 resolution
