reset MCP altitude

Featured Replies

Hi all. When i program a flightplan with SID and after take off fly the aircraf manually to a certain point in the departure, i cannot engage VNAV, get a message om the FMC reset MCP altitude. This alt. was set to cruise altitude. What am I doing wrong?

You have to reset your MCP alt before T/D to make the aircraft follow the vnav path.Eks. You are flying at FL250 and the last wp before intercept ILS is set by the fmc to 3000ft (or you can set it to rwy height). The aircraft will try to follow the alt/speed restrictions as set in the FMC anyway. So you just dial 3000 on the MPC before the T/D point. And the plane will follow the V-nav path and level off at 3000ft(or whatever you decided)Johnny"I'LL BE BACK"[div align=center]http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/josve/zone.jpg ][/div
