December 12, 200322 yr Just wondering, why do smaller jets like the 737 have manual electrical relays instead of the automatic kind found in larger jets like the B757/767? For instance, on the B737 the pilot must manually relay the APU and L/R engine generators to bring them online. In the 767 this is automactically done by the BUS TIE AUTO switch.I'm not complaining, in fact I rather like flipping switches (makes me feel important for some reason), the more the merrier. Just wondering for the sake of wondering.Thanks.
December 12, 200322 yr Jim,I believe that this was to keep commonality with the earlier 737's - notice almost identical overhead panels from the -200 thru to the -900.http://www.b737.org.uk/electrics.htmhttp://www.b737.org.uk/paneloverhead.htm
December 12, 200322 yr Mark,Thanks, I'll buy that.Speaking of buying, how is the AS2 beta going and when are you guys gonna put it on the market? I can be patient waiting on SU2 but I gotta have AS2 now, lol!!! The wind transitions and see through overcasts, stuttering, ect in FS2004 are killing me. :)
December 12, 200322 yr Looks good so far - is a vast improvement over FS Wx.At this rate you'll have no fingers left from chewing - left hand for SU2, right for AS2.Take a look at the web links I posted in my updated reply. These show some good Ohead close ups.
