December 19, 200322 yr I wish to create SIDSTAR files for the airports in my area. Before I do this, I want to be sure I'm not stepping on any toes. I notice that Terry Yingling has compiled an impressive collection of SIDSTAR files (which is included with the SU2 download). I wish to expand the data for some of these airports, as there is some info missing. Any rules on doing so? Are we encouraged to upload our homemade SIDSTARS to the Navdata website? If so, am I allowed to also include procedures specific to only certain airlines (in other words, company procedures that are not PUBLISHED for everyone)? One more question. Required Navigation Performance (RNP) procedures are soon coming to my home airport. I have data for these RNP profiles, and would like to write these procedures into the SIDSTAR file. Before doing so, I need to understand RNP a little better. In the real world, is RNP data accessed through the FMC, or is there some other fancy computer in charge of RNP operations? Thanks!Kenny Rogers
December 20, 200322 yr Oh, and one more quick question...I am noticing that some people are attaching their SIDSTAR files to their posts in this forum. Is this the place to share files, or should I upload mine at Navdata?Kenny Rogers
December 20, 200322 yr You can do both, you can attach it to the post in the forum and even better, upload it to navdata.at I suggest that you upload it to navdata so also other users can use your procedures.Regards, Nejc
December 20, 200322 yr Thanks for your reply. I have tested it for bugs, but I am waiting for a friend of mine to double-check my work for correctness.Kenny Rogers
