December 23, 200322 yr Hi,What is the best way to update the SID & STAR database in the 737NG so that I get as many SIDs and STARs as possible? I see now that it has got some of these built in, but some SIDs and STARs don't seem to have all the altitude contraints etc.How can I design and write my own SIDs and STARs in the best way. The 737NG flyis so beautifully that it's so inviting to do more and more with it... It's an amazing aircraft! Thanks in advance,Lars-------------------------------------------------------------P4 3.2 GHz, 2 GB OCZ RAM, 3 x 120 GB Maxtor, ASUS P4C800 mobo.
December 23, 200322 yr Hei Lars.If you got AIP covering your country, you can easily make sid/stars and approaches. Look in the PMDG documentation. There you will find a pdf-file teaching you how to make those procedures.Jan Roar Rod
December 23, 200322 yr Thanks Jan, I'll have a go right away....LarsP4 3.2 GHz, 2 GB OCZ RAM, 3 x 120 GB Maxtor, ASUS P4C800 mobo.
December 23, 200322 yr >SIDs and STARs don't seem to have all the altitude contraintsFor now the only altitude constraint in the language is the "AT". If the DAFIF has an "AT" constraint it is put in. The DAFIF has the other types of altitude constraints but for now they are skipped over.RegardsTerry
December 23, 200322 yr OK, I see... so for those SIDs / STARs that are indeed included with the 737NG, some are now only laterally correct but if I look up the real SIDs alt constr I may be able to enter AT and an altidtude in the FMC and make them altitude defined as well? For instance: I may have the third waypoint in the SID showing no alt contr but in real life I know its 8000 feet. Could I then just "update" that in the FMC nad save it with the rout (or better yet, save it so that the SID becomes updated with that AT altitude and the SID is becoming more realsitic?Lars

That way any other flight could use it too.Terry
