December 25, 200322 yr Hello!First of all a Merry Xmas to all of you! While reading the manuals and trying to do the tutorial flight I noticed something strange :In the FS2004 load program, both the 737-700 and 600 show a much higher MTOW than it says in the manuals...The -700 shows as 153,500lbs (manual : 133,000) and the -600 shows 144,000lbs (manual : 127,000)First I thought this came because I use metric settings in my FS2004, but even after switching the the US system, the same MTOW figures remained.Any idea what could be wrong here? A friend of mine has the same indication. To me this sounds more like the data for the 800/900 series? I use the new version of the 737NG, downloaded yesterday.Sorry of this has already been asked, but I could not find it in the forum...Cheers,Thomas
December 25, 200322 yr The 133,000 in the manual, I believe is a dry weight - minus payload and passengers and fuel.
December 25, 200322 yr As per my understanding the MTOW normally indicates the maximum gross weight of the aircraft at the moment of brake release on the runway (i.e. Max Ramp weight minus taxi-out fuel). So this figure should include fuel and payload as well. Boeing shows a MTOW of 154,500lbs for the -700 and 143,500lbs for the 600, so the figure of the load manager seems to be more correct than what the manual says?Cheers,Thomas
