In the default 737, I often file IFR "GPS direct", then toggle the autopilot nav/GPS switch to GPS and just go straight to my destination. I'm not much into navigating via the more complex SID/route/STAR, and I like to use the default FS ATC.I know this isn't "as real as it gets", but whats the appropriate way to program the FMC to fly me "GPS direct", so that when FS ATC tells me "proceed on course" I can set it and forget it?Thanks,Patrick

with a quick look in your FMC manual you might find your answerDon Harrison

Just set your departure and arrival into the FMC, and then *1* waypoint inbetween. Then use the LNAV mode to navigate. Important thing to rememebr: you need that 1 waypoint, else LNAV won't work.
