December 28, 200322 yr Is PRE-FLT COMPLETE supposed to show before you've specified flap configuration and v-speeds on the takeoff page? I notice that the PRE-FLT COMPLETE indicator is displayed as soon as I enter the TAKEOFF REF page - even though I haven't entered any data for flap or v-speeds. In the '67, this data must first be input before the FMC gives you the green light. Not so in the NG?Jason Barlow
December 28, 200322 yr Hi Jason,My Boeing manual (for the 3/4/5) has this to say:"PRE-FLT STATUSSelectively displayed to allow line selection of the appropriate preflight pages whenever the required entries on those pages are incomplete. (...) After completion of all required items "PRE-FLIGHT COMPLETE" appears."The pages referred to are POS INIT, PERF INIT, ROUTE, DEPARTURE.My Lufthansa manual, also for the 3/4/5, says this:"Following completion of required entries on the POS INIT, RTE and PERF INIT pages, all status prompts blank and PRE-FLT STATUS is replaced by PRE-FLT COMPLETE"So it seems that this behaviour in the sim is correct.Leo Bakker
