Sometimes when I try to activate Vnav after 1000 feet it refuses. If I wait one minute or so then it works. Why?Georg Langrath

Hi Georg,I would wait till I have the aircraft trimmed and steady before I engage the AP and VNAV and allways at or above 1500 feet. I'm pretty sure that this is normal procecure for a 737. Give it a shot. If you still have problem with engaging the AP and VNAV the cause might be in your flight plan (do you get any FMC messages?).regards and a happy new year ;-) Ulf B
