FS runs much smoother and the graphics are better if I run it in 1024 by 768, but on the menu screens this happens. Any suggestions to make it normal again?

You mean that the menu is small compared to the monitor? I get that too, but more pronounced since I run 1280x960. The only thing I can figure is learn to accept it.

edited:Nevermind! I'm running at 1600*1200*32 on a 22" monitor. The startup menu is full size, but my "switch aircraft" menu is reduced also. It's not a black background, but is the screenshot of my flight but darkened. It even looks smaller than the above pic, however it's easy to read on the 22" monitor.

I'll just live with it. It's not that bad, I can read it fine. Small price to pay for better performance. :)
