FS2002 Rain effect ...an idea?

Recommended Posts

Guest

Hi, Ok, most of us have stood at an airport and seen aircraft take off in rain, the back spray of water off the engines and wheels look cool.Well, I have has an idea, I don't know if it will work but read on. The touchdown smoke effect texture in FS2002 could be modified to look more like spray, then when the aircraft's wheels come in contact with floor this spray texture could appear ( just like it does when you touch down) but ... the effect carries on like the aircraft is running over a wet runway. Then when the aircraft goes under a certain speed the effect goes off. (just like contrails disappear when you fly below 30'000 ft)It could be the same on takeoff, when the aircraft goes over about 30 kts it could appear.BUT ... can someone think of a way of being able to turn the effect on and off??? We don't always fly in rain do we?PLEASE!!! this is only an idea but it's worth a try? If there is anyone out there who knows about these 'effects' please reply :-):-wave Regards Mike Brand
