February 26, 200422 yr This one's for the PMDG guys, or anyone with any tips....My sister is about to complete an Aeronautical Engineering degree and has a group project to complete using a software package to model stability of a large commercial jet, they've chosen the Queen of the Skies.A request to a friend at Boeing hasn't yielded any info but he suggested trying the Flight Sim community as he's amazed by the flight modelling of his companies products in MSFS!Considering you're mid-development of the 744 would you guys have any non-sensitive data for the following? The data required for assessment/modifications to longitudinal stability of the B747-400 is:-Position of mean aerodynamic chord-Location of aero centre of wing-Aerodynamic washout characteristics of wing-Cm/Cl-alpha curves for wing alone and for aircraft.-Fuselage Geometry (x-sectional length at discrete locations along fuselagelength)-Nacelle Geometry (as above)-Fuselage/Wing, Nacelle/Wing upwash factors-Fuselage angle of attack at zero lift coefficientShe also adds; "Also if possible, for my own project I'm looking for F16 Cm-alpha curves at various elevator delections." for any military minded out there. Thanks for any info, reply by email to [email protected] would be excellent but I'll check back here as often as possible.Dave
