I see aerosoft.com in Germany is taking preorders for a PMDG737NG boxed CD. The picture of the box certainly looks convincing. Are they jumping the gun or will a CD be available soon? If so will the AVSIM store be selling it too or does aerosoft have a lock on the boxed CD version sales?Mark

I recently checked their site and they are now saying that the 'CD version' will be available from them by the middle of March.The original schedule was January, then Feb. and now mid-March..Go figure.....What could possibly be so difficult about getting this product out to people who don't want the aggravation of downloading this software with SLOW modems and all the other hassle's i've read about on this forum.It may be problems with security or packaging but it's getting awfully frustrating not being able to purchase this product on a 'CD'.As far as I know, the only way to purchase the 'CD version' will be through Aerosoft.com....I don't know this for a fact..maybe someone can verify this from PMDG.Regards,Jack NoulletKGSP

Jack, thanks for the feedback. I was hoping someone from the PMDG headshed would have seen fit to comment too. Oh well. I have such a lousy dialup connection that FS10 would be all the rage by the time I could get a clean 50+Mb download. I've had to do without Ultimate Traffic until now for the same reason. I would appreciate it.I was also hoping that someone from 'PMDG' would comment on the reasoning behind not offering a "CD Version" of the software. Maybe they are not equipped to do so but it would be nice if they could offer this as an option for those who don't want the hassle of screwing around with so many downloads and all the other good stuff that goes into making the software work....being that I'm not that computer literate, it would be more than a welcomed amenity..Oh well, I guess they do what's best for their business and I can accept that also.Regards,Jack NoulletKGSP

Jack,When I have 'Ultimate Traffic' installed and shaken out a bit I will let you know my experience and impression. Like you I struggle with the computer side of the hobby. So far persistence and asking questions of people on forums has seen me through. I should be able to find you using your gemel handle and post an email to you that way.As to your final comment, I agree PMDG must do what is in the best interest of their business. I just hope eventually their best interest and that of folks like us will intersect in a CD version. Until then they don't get my 39 bucks and I don't have their 737NG. Too bad really.Mark SilvaKSEA
