February 28, 200422 yr Hi all,I am slowly but surely becoming a VC convert. I have a couple of questions for the 737 VC. I am assumimg that the overhead panel is not clickable at all as of yet, is this going to change with the release of the 800/900 series? Also, while in the VC and panning down to look at the FMC, the yoke is blocking the view of the captains FMC and the flap handle interferes with viewing the FO's FMC. Is there any way to improve the views of the FMC's?Thanks,Kevin
February 28, 200422 yr The overhead panel is fully functional in VC mode, ie all clickable. I am able to see clearly both fmc'c as well.
February 29, 200422 yr Ok, something must be screwed up on my VC, I can't click on anything in the overhead panel. I just did a fresh install of the 737 after getting that weird problem where you can see through some of the gauges to the outside. Anyone know of any suggestions to fix the screwed up overhead clicking function?Kevin
February 29, 200422 yr Hi KevinKeith must be referring to the 800/900 series. My 600/700 does not support clicking on the overhead panel in the VC either.
February 29, 200422 yr Thanks for the reply, that overhead panel looks ready to go with all the switches sticking out! How about your FMC view, the yoke is blocking most of the view of my captains FMC and the flap handle sort of block of the FO FMCKevin
February 29, 200422 yr Hi KevinGet Active Camerahttp://www.anticyclone.beYou can roam around the virtual cockpit, move around the yoke and zoom in on the FMC while you use it, wander through the cabin, look out of the cabin windows and get a passenger's view of things and even go into the toilet at the rear (but you cannot shut the toilet door and the sound of the toilet flushing is not yet part of the package - maybe in the 800/900!)Active Camera a "must have" for this aircraft. Reasonably priced, superb customer support and you can try it out for free providing you do not stray far from Seattle.(My overhead does not click either)Chris
February 29, 200422 yr Chris,Thanks for the info, I think I will give active camera a try. I am just starting to get into the virtual cockpit after being a 2D only panel guy for a while.Kevin
