March 6, 200422 yr Can anybody tell me what the 3 small thumb wheels do on the Boeing Control Yoke? Also where can I download the FMC tutorial for the 737NG that has been mentioned in this forum?CheersSteve
March 6, 200422 yr Heya Steve,I believe those Thumbwheels are on the yoke so that the Pilot/Co-pilot can put the flight number there so that they dont forget it!Then again I could be wrong...but I remember being on the jump seat of an Aer Lingus A330 flying into shannon, when we were taxing in,the captain was cleared to gate 17(or something like that), so after he read back,he put 1700ft in the FCU so that he wouldnt forget!A little bit of Trivia, I personally use a notepad placed beside the Throttles ;)John (Once known as Macs)http://homepage.eircom.net/~eamonnmca/images/logo_ba.JPGwww.bavirtual.co.uk Senior Captain Simflight.com Staff Reviewer
