setting up panel views on additional monitors using pci cards

Featured Replies

Has anyone had any experience on setting up the above? I know that you have to be in windowed mode to undock and then drag to new monitor. Can you drag individual panels ie, pfd, ng, or does it have to be the whole cockpit?thanx in advance.

I have tried with 2 monitors on 1 card (ATI radeon 9500pro) worked great.my procedure for setting up the views was:1. go to windowed mode in FS (alt-enter)2. get the instruments up (radio, FMC etc.)3. undock them and drag them to the second monitor. Overheadpanel can not be undocked (should be fixed in the -800/- 900 release.)4. go back to full screen (alt-enter)5. arrange and resize the instruments on the second monitor.I kept the main panel on the primary monitor, but you can press on the PFD/ND/ENG to get them "out" of the main panel, and then drag them to your secondary monitor and resize if you want, but i found that i liked them better where they where.I found that FPS is only dropping 1-5 when you put instruments on the secondary monitor, but if i tried to put a view (forward-right) the FPS would drop 10-15.Thomas Brix
