March 20, 200422 yr Hello 737NG-folks!I just bought the PMDG 737NG and I am very happy with it except for the fact, that I can't switch to another aircraft after having loaded the 737NG. FS crashes and gives an error message, saying that it has caused an failure (my english is not so good;-) ) in "Kernel32.dll". Excact the same message I get, when I close FS after having flown with the 737NG.I use Windows ME and have correctly installed the "gdiplus.dll", also I use FS2002, other add-ons work no prob. DirectX-9 is also installed.Anyone knows a workaround to this? (I have already tried to load another panel first then 737NG -> same result)Would be very happy for some help,Greetings,Hakan
March 21, 200422 yr The kernel32 run time file is pretty much the heart and soul of the Windows operating system, and I'm not surprised you're getting probs with Windows ME,what a horrible Operating system!Want my advice? Instal WinXP home,it's a lovely OS to use and much less hassle. The problem your getting now when using the NG could be caused by anything, and finding a workaround could be very hard! :(John (Once known as Macs)http://homepage.eircom.net/~eamonnmca/images/logo_ba.JPGwww.bavirtual.co.uk Senior Captain Simflight.com Staff Reviewer
March 21, 200422 yr Thank you for the reply, it make me think about it alittle bit and here's what I found:I took a closer look at the error message and found that the first module to crash was "gaugesound.dll". Therefore I checked all sound options in the PMDG-Style-menu to "on" and voila, now I could select other aircraft no prob after having used the PMDG. However, to exit FS I have to select an aircraft other then the NG..at least it works!Of course, on terms I agree with you that Windows ME is not the best OS;-)Thx and greetings,Hakan
