March 21, 200422 yr Here comes a really easy newbie question for you vets out there :)I'm working through Tim Metzinger's great tutorials and I've come to a part where I'm told to change the NAV radio to xxx.xx frequency. But the problem is the NAV Radios won't change frequency. The standby on both NAV1 and NAV2 don't change anything.I know it has to be a switch or something I'm missing. What could it be?ThanksNick Bonilla
March 21, 200422 yr I've experienced the same problem too, and so did my friend. It is not only the NAV radios but the Whole radio stack dies. I reinstaled PMDG and that fixed it for me, but my friend is constantly losing his radio in Multiplayer flights. We couldn't find any cure, I hope this will be cured in the upcoming release...---------------------Hopefully the first person to buy the PMDG 737-800 :D
March 21, 200422 yr :( that's unfortunate. I too hope it gets fixed soon. But until then I guess ill just have to test my radios before take off so I don't waste another 90 minutes flying only to not be able to tune to ILS.ThanksNick Bonilla
March 21, 200422 yr Nick,I found out perchance that the Avionics Switch in FS9 controls the setting of frequencies in the PMDG radio panel. Although there is no switch in PMDG that controls it, you can assign a key or joystick button to it in FS9 (Options>Controls>Assignments>Avionics Master Switch on/off).You might like to try this and see if toggling it on or off cures your problem.David.
March 21, 200422 yr That would probably seem like the only cure for this problem, but it isn't... Because sometimes the radio just dies WHILE flying. And my friend's radio ONLY dies when playing Multiplayer with me... Very very strange...-----------------------Hopefully the first person to buy the PMDG 737-800 :D
March 21, 200422 yr Thanks! I'll defiantly keep that in mind. Although I've since closed FS and given up for the day. Nick Bonilla
