FMC DEP/ARR ERRORS

Featured Replies

Hi there,I'm from the Netherlands and have PMDG 737NG-600/700 for FS9.The plane is flying wonderful. But i have a problem with the FMC:When i use for example the Advanced Operations Tutorial V2 from Timothy M.Metzinger to learn more about the official procedures for flying the B737, i get involved in the next problem.I have to program the FMC for a flightroute from KTNT to KTNT, a round trip of South Florida, to learn using the FMC.When i put in KTNT on the RTE page and press on the LSK 1L i will get the message: Error at approaches, line 22.I push at CLR and go to the DEP/ARR page and use option DEP.Then i get the KTNT departures page. But there is nothing at all.No SIDS, NO RUNWAYS, nothing....I tried other airports but still errors,erros,errors...Example:When i choose: KSFO, i will get: Err at fix , line 144 KIAD or KJFK, i will get: Err at fix, line 104 KORD, i will get: Err at transition, line 201 EDDF, i will get: Err at trk, line 163 EHAM, i will get: Err at Speed, line 148And everytime a push on CLR and go to DEP/ARR page and choose an DEP, i don't see any SIDS or Runways...Please let somebody help me out, i cann't solve the problem.I had and have installed:NAVDATA0313 from www.navdata.atand SIDSTARS 0401 from www.precisionmanuals.com download page. When i choose IDENT page from FMC i will get the next details.navdata: active:Airac-0313 Dec25jan21/04op program:PMD001 (V10.3)Do i something wrong, do i have the wrong data???????

Hoi geraldwillemsen1..Have you tried to remove the PMDG 737 with the removal tool that can be downloaded from PMDG downloads? After you removed the aircraft reboot your PC, and reinstall the 737 and all of the SID/STAR/Navdata and updates..I had some wierd problems with the 1st version of the 737... Reinstalling it helped somehow..Succes met je probleem..

hello, i have the same problem with the SID/STAR system in the FMC of NG B737, it also write ERROR at keyline 22 and so on, when i select a SID of any airport. Did you solve the problem with the reinstallation, or what did you do??please help :-hmmm

It's a NAVDATA issue and not a bug.The SID/STAR probably has some syntax errors and the FMC cant read them,I get them quite a lot-just means you have to program the Sid/Star yourself until you obtain new NAVDATA for that airport!John (Once known as Macs)http://homepage.eircom.net/~eamonnmca/images/logo_ba.JPGwww.bavirtual.co.uk Senior Captain Simflight.com Staff Reviewer

>I had and have installed:>NAVDATA0313 from www.navdata.at>and SIDSTARS 0401 from www.precisionmanuals.com download>page.>Do i something wrong, do i have the wrong data???????The most current SIDSTAR data on the PMDG site is cycle 0402 but I have given them 0403 to post at any time now. However, that probably will not fix your problem. All those errors you are getting are indicative of the default SIDSTAR database. Cycles starting with 0401 are checked 100% for any syntax errors by the same error checker used by the FMC and I would be very, very surprised if any showed up in a good installation of the 737NG and any cycle newer than the 0401 cycle. I have read that some have fixed similar problems by reinstalling the 737NG (after using the PMDG provided uninstall program) and installing a new SIDSTAR cycle. Check the FS9PMDGSIDSTARS folder and verify the airport files are dated 22004 for the 0402 cycle. Another thing to check is if the SIDSTAR download was not corrupted by doing a zip file integrity check. Lastly would be to reinstall the 737NG.Good luckTerry

Hi,I have tried everything what you guys told me to do, but nope nothing helped.1.) removed with special program from PMDG.2.) installed everything again.3.) installed also Navdata 0313 and Sidstars 0402.But get still the same line errors when i choose an airport and don't see sidstars/rwy.I tried something else and that was making a flightplan with sid/stars in FSNavigator and export it as RTE-file for PMDG.Then open the flightplan in the FMC and i get a flightplan with start and landing. When i push then on the DEP/ARR page and select DEP i will see a runwaynumber. So in that way it will work, but not as it suppose to be...(direct in FMC)So still have problems.Gerald Willemsen

Howdy Gerald>3.) installed also Navdata 0313 and Sidstars 0402.Did you verify that the dates of the files in the FS04PMDGSIDSTARS are 2/20/04?>But get still the same line errors when i choose an airport>and don't see sidstars/rwy.It would be normal not to see any SIDs or STARs if there was an error in loading the airport file.Send me the departure and/or the arrival airport file(s) that are causing an error and I'll look them over. My address is in the "A Must Read This.txt" file that came with the 0402 cycle.RegardsTerry
